With most cities having a steadfast rule against persuing a crotch rocket, I thought this was one of the very points in having one.
I assumed everyone who has one ditched cops as a way to pass time.
It was always fun to me.

No but you can outrun the guy on the radio and assuming you are on a freeway with lots of exit ramps they won't catch you.

You have to weigh if its worth it or not. You can run and get away becasue its fun and you dont get that 200$ speeding ticket. But you risk getting caught and then it turns out to cost some where around $8000+ total

Man, I ran one time and that was the scariest ride of my life. When I got home, i was shaking so bad i couldn't go to sleep. I kept thinking I was going to run into something or that the cops got my license plate # and where going to be waiting for me at my house. I vowed never to do that again. Bad thing is I wasn't doing anything wrong. One of my buddies was doing wheelies and we all ran..

I haven't run in over 4 years, even that last one I didn't *want* to and it was the first in a while at that time, but I did run quite a bit when I was younger, dumber, and mad at the world.

I'll post more about this later when I have some time.

I made it public info when it happened so Im not bothered.
I ran from the cops out on 1187 in Maypearl. They set up a roadblock just over a blind hill and I had to run into the ditch because I didn't have enough room to stop. Wrecked the bike(plus impoundment)$600,had medical bills, bond, probation fee's,court fee's,$3000 fine,$3500 lawyer fee's, and still have to go to probation each month for another year plus pay $200/month for probation fee's. Iv ran a few times before and gotten away. I look back at it now and realize all the risks weren't worth it.
So yeah you can run and get out of a ticket but if you ever get caught running you're gonna have to pay a lot more than that ticket/s

Yep, at least 3-4 years old. The guy that made the video is a guy on www.gixxer.com The cop was a friend of his, and they wanted to see if the radar would clock him at an extremely high rate of speed. The guy posted the number, I'm thinking it was 167 MPH?! It was a loooong time ago.

I was following some friends a couple years back they were in a car i was on my bike when a cop pulled both of us over for speeding. The cop was on a motorcycle and as he walked up to me he said i was stupid for actually pulling over! :( Then gave me 3 tickets for expired DL, no DL (only had class c at the time), and speeding. I have never gotten pulled over since but yet wonder what i'd do if a cop tried to pull me over.

I ran once in austin, texas- 165 mph down MoPac at 2am, stupidest thing ive done, wont ever run again.

but what is also funny was three times now when ive pulled over on my bike for a cop, each one have asked me, "So why didnt you run when I hit my lights? I would have." Um what?

Yeah, thats the funny part.. When ever I've been pulled over and a cop asks me why I didn't run. I say because I didn't want to put my life or your life in danger. I have never received a ticket on my motorcycle and I have been pulled over at least 3 times once with no M Class endorsement.
