excel help please

I need to know if there is a way to have excel automatically add a footer that shows the filename of the document when ever you create a new spreadsheet...

Are you taling about on the tabs at the bottom of the page?

Click on View in the menu bar, then select header/footer, there are several choices available.

Never mind I got it... I needed it so that it automatically applied the footer everytime a spreadsheet is created. You just have to make a new template setup the way you want it, and save that in the 'xlstart' folder.
