Web hosting?

I'm looking at starting my own site to host my graphic design work, photos, and animations that i've created. Just curious as to what I'll be looking at paying for if I'm wanting a domain name plus the hosting space? Can anyone recommend a good company or site to go with?

if you want something simple i believe yahoo charges like 10 bucks a month most places charge per year. im paying 20 bucks a month with my yahoo for my site, relentlessx.com
