cant seem to find much about this...
got a computer that had a problem with some of the icons being blacked out (reloaded twice still same problem), took that computer apart and only used the cpu in a new test rig and i reloaded xp and the icons still came up blacked out, the chip itself doesnt appear to have any damage...
so i replaced the cpu with one i knew was fine and reloaded again and it was okay...
how is it possible for the cpu to be "bad" when it still loads and operates fine? its just the blacked out icons, there's gotta be a fix?
