Since when is a first run Movie 9 bucks? It's been about 3 years since I've gotten out to see a movie with the wife because of kids or other plans but damn what the Hell. Laura and I saw Cloverfield last night and I would suggest waiting for the dollar movie (if they still have those) or wait till the DVD cuz it sucked.

I hear that.

I saw Jumper last night.. Ok, entertaining. That was IT! They tied up no loose ends. I wasn't satisfied at ALL...

And didn't they figure out after star wars that Mr. Skywalker CAN'T ACT

They filmed it like the Blaire Witch movie. I guess I'm getting old cuz it was giving me a headache.

ya they only do that in the high dollar theaters. Take plano/mckinney for example, there is 4 movie theaters i have been to, Mckinney cinemark charges $5 but has all the new movies coming out, Cinemark on 75 charges $8 with all the new movies coming out, Movies 10 charges $1 but they have older movies, then Tinseltown or wateva charges $9 cause its a huge ass place. My opinion is the bigger the theater, the better the movie, the more exspensive....

<------Worked at a theater for a week lol

I concur. I was very disappointed. That's $18 I could have spent on something else. Oh well. Live and learn.

thats why its best to go to the first showings on sat of sun. At mansfield its only $5 and their matinees are 5.75 I think.

I usually go to studio movie grill or movie tavern. Tickets are like $5 its much more comfortable seating and if you feel like blowing some money you can grab a few beers

I guess that's what we'll do next time. A beer would've been nice to help pass time. Probably won't get out with kids again for another few months though. I'm sure the prices will be jacked up another few dollars by then.

And no ghettoness. Nice theater in Cedar Park looks like Black Hawk Down as soon as the sun starts to set. Plenty of uniformed officers there as well. Doesn't really convey a sense of safety.

I usually get tickets at the student discounted price, and I've been out of college for over 10 years. :D

I'm glad I only go to the movies once or twice a year. Too much $...

The wife and I went to see Rambo a few weeks ago and it costs us almost 40 bucks between tickets, popcorn and some drinks!

$7.50 at the Movie Tavern and it's 2 for 1 on Mondays with a press pass. Also $1.50 domestic beers and half price pizzas.
