Bought another laptop, and I have a crap load of stuff that I want to transfer to my new computer. What's the easiest way to transfer everything over? Burn it to a disk, then load it? Is there a cord where I can just directly hook up one computer to the other?

Sorry for the stupid question, but I've never had to do this before.

Burning to a disk would be a PITA!

Vista or XP?

This is what I was going to refer: http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5555531

"The Belkin Easy Transfer Cable for Windows Vista offers a quick, hassle-free way to transfer your files and settings from your old Windows XP PC to your new Windows Vista PC. Simply connect each end of the 8 ft cable to the USB ports on both computers. The Windows Easy Transfer Wizard automatically appears, and allows you to select items to copy. With just a few clicks, your photos, music, settings, and more transfer easily, without requiring time-consuming CD-burning or a network."

Yep! Just go to Mike's Soft Touch Car Wash over on Mockingbird. Tell them that you are there to receive your free detail. They will take care of you.
