I didn't like his decision and I think he ended up regretting it in the end.

Kinda ruining the movie for everyone.....but

He made the right decision, under the circumstances.

It's the decision I would have made... the whole point of the movie is that it was difficult decision but in the end he stuck for what he believed was right. Probably would have regretted either decision, but he went for the one he believed the most in.

The mother was a crack whore and didnt change, bad decision if you ask me. On top of that he lost his hot gf and Morgan Freeman went to jail, WTF.
