Im confused, our house has a LAN that has 2 desktop PC's (both running xp) that are connected to the internet at all times. I bought a laptop the other day (running vista) and i thought i'd just be able to plug the broadband cord up to it and start browsing but it doesn't work. It says "limited connectivity" its able to connect to the LAN using the cable and the Wireless connection, but i think the router is keeping it from getting to the internet. I can get on by bypassing the routing and plugging into the modem, but i don't like the idea of less security. Do i need to call my ISP or perhaps change some vista setting. Im not sure what info you'd need to help me, but i'll help you any way i can if you can help me.

Install Windows XP. Problem solved. I don't dislike Vista. I dislike operating systems that eat up system resources and generally SUCK.
