AH YES! THE TBSS... the 07 is better. 08 is missing most of the chrome in the interior and is way detuned, the 06 had the old windshield wiper and was like the test dummy.
I will do this, I will warn you.... 21gallon tank! PREMIUM ONLY!
$3.91 x $82.11 for about 280-320miles. I have a 2wd and its gas hungry!
however....I love my truck!!!!
=D fast, got way faster with the tune and the CAI!
You should by mine and give me your T/A.

mine has a Pioneer navi/dvd/ipod/sterring wheel controls etc. sunroof... but no dvd in the back. It is the 3ss package, I didnt get a factory navi cause you cant play dvd's or mp3's on it... instead I got the AVIC D3 unit from PIONEER, everything still works (sterring wheel controls, onstar and BOSE system) and I have tons more options like I control my iPod from the touch screen of the NAVI.

That's a badass setup you have there pbm.cc. Would you happen to have the model # for that Pioneer setup and roughly what it ran you?? I got a silver SS with the basic options. My brother in law has the navigation in his SS but you have to have the CD in for the GPS to work which means you cant listen to anything but the radio.
The weather has been shitty around here but screw it im gonna clean my truck as soon as i get off work.

yep... sure do, but this may help a little more:
http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Support/Navigation/In-Dash/ci.AVIC-D3.Support
I bought it 2weeks after I bought the truck (05/10/07), I bought the truck new from Young Chevrolet... it had 3 miles! the dealer wanted to charge me $2k+ to add the D3 unit to the truck. I paid $975ish + shipping but they should be cheaper now.
Yeah, we too have been having crappy weather... I wanted to wash it yesterday but it looks like it is going to continue to rain, so I am holding off.

meng, you shouldnt had asked!
ok, here we go...
1. $10,000 more than a loaded 4wd TBSS
2. you can tow with the TBSS
3. GCSRT8 is heavier
4. you have almost no aftermarket products for the trucks/cars (dodge, chrystler)
5. the rear is actually roomier that the GCSRT8
at the moment that is all I can think of.... but invest $10,000 on a Loaded TBSS and you have a 500 - 600rwhp 2wd/4wd trck that can tow. I actually think that the TBSS looks pretty sharp, they make the functional "SS" hood for it and the SLP dual exhaust, then drop it about an 1" to 2"s and it sits nice!!!

Yeah thats one thing though Im always going somewhere with friends and what not so it's definalty better then stuffing them in the back of a mustang :o I have 3 other stangs so it's not like I dont have a toy to play with just not alot of time to work on them. I dunno maybe pulling one of the stangs to the track will make me wanna keep it  :D
Thinking about getting a beater older 4cyl though, gas sucks and im tired of racking up miles

I am about to bring home a 08' Trailblazer 3SS, GM says Premium fuel is not required?? I did some research and I see differing answers on if you can run mid grade without killing it.
So I pose the question to an actual owner can you run mid grade? if not I may think about getting the Tahoe instead, I sold my Cobra and bought a 93 GT just to get out from under premium fuel.

I'm running anywhere from 87 to 93 depending on when I have to refill. Granted, my TBSS is still stock. And its not 100* outside yet. Mostly, I use 93 when I'm around a Costco. In the few occasions I'm not, I'll use 87 or 91 to get me around a day or 2 until I can make it to CostCo to fill up.

There are two fuel tables in the ecm so it can run on crap gas... The ecm can tell the fuel type (somehow) and will pull timing accordingly.

It's called a knock sensor.

In addition to that moneybags...
There's a high octane fuel table and a low octane fuel table. Perhaps the knock sensor comes in to play with the switching from one to the other though.
