Just got me a PS3!

My friend sold me his 60 gb ps3 along with 2 controllers and 1 game (virtua fighter 5) which sucks for $240. Thought it was a kickass deal so I jumped on it.Anything you guys recommend I should buy for it? What are some cool games to check out? I'm into shooting and "good" fighting games, GTA types of games. What are your thoughts on Haze? Looks like a cool game to check out. Anyways ps3 games look pretty fucking expensive @ 60 bucks a piece! Anybody use gamefly?

I like sports and racing games the best, the graphics on the ps3 are amazing both Madden 08 and NBA Live 08 look extremely real.

Dirt is a good game, as is COD4.

I need to go pick up some games, but I'm waiting for the 09's before I buy any sports games.

The one that is coming out in April is not the full version of the game, GT5 will be released later in the year (I'm guessing toward the Holidays?). This game is a preview (with 40+ cars and 5 tracks), basically to keep everyone happy until the full game is released.

COD4 is good. The new Resistance game will be out I think at the end of the month, and that one will fucking rock all other FPS games off the boat. Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 will be out in a month or so as well.


There are quite a few good ones coming out.

I only currently have CPD4, Madden 08, and NCAA 08 right now, because I don't have time to play anything else. Hell, I barely have time for Madden and NCAA. I'm always on COD4.

Yeah I love the Grand Turismo seris, I have been playing them since the ps1 and IMO I think it has the best graphics and more real like controls.

The thing stopped reading discs. I took it back to Sam's and they gave me a giftcard. I just ordered a new one from Walmart.com. lol

I gave them a 60 GB. I get a new 80GB unit. I even gave it back to them in the warranty box Sony sent me..HAHAHAH

I've got the launch console 60gig and i dont think ive turned it on in a looong time.

I think my x-box makes the dvd's i play on it look better. The ps3 looks grainy.

I'm a die hard sony fan have been since the 4 worn out gt1's i own haha.

The demo that they had out for a year or so is aight. graphics looks good but the damn tire squealing all the fucking time gets on my nerves. I hope the new game isnt like that.

Besides Rock Band, which we love, that is the only other game I plan to get. I downloaded the demo over a month ago, just haven't got out to buy the game since it was released.

Every time I would accept it would say the lobby was closed.

What you have to do is stay in the lobby of the startup when we are all on. Then go once we are all in the Find game lobby and go get a game. That way we are all on the same team.

If you get confused just call my ass next time.

I knew what was happening. I would send an invite, while you were in a game. Therefore, you wouldn't get the invite until the game was over, and by that time we had all already jumped in a game.
