how do i connect to my network...

i just got a new laptop and im trying to get online and its asking for some password and user name, where and how do i find out what that is?

If it's a new network it should have "admin" as the password with no username.

Otherwise look in the manual and it should tell you.

my bad i dont think i made myself too clear... i can get online if i plug the laptop in, but im trying the wireless shit and its saying my network is secure, but i have to put in a username and pass...

You'll need what's called your "WEP" key, which will require you to login to your router. Your ISP should be able to walk you through the correct steps to access that information through the router they provided you.

go look for the sticker on your router that says SSID XXXXX and WEP XXXXXXXXX

what kind of router do you have?If it is a 2wire the WEP key is on the back the router. If not you will need ot login to your router and go the wireless settings and see what the weps are.

I'm almost positive it's the Actionjunk that Verizon provides.

If the username 'admin' with no password doesn't work, you might try using the default email account you set up with the ISP you have. When I tried logging into my pops wireless 'net at his house, AT&T had walked him thru the process of making it secure and they used his email and own password to secure it.

Try the WEP key first, though.
