I drug the missus into the Kawi/Zuk dealer down here to test fit some bikes. The saleswoman was VERY knowledge!! She knew her crap. I asked her if it was okay to sit on one......she said SURE this aint no Harley dealership.

So I sat on ALOT-

07 GSXR1000 felt much better compared to the 600. I prefer the longer wheelbases of 1000s.

07 Busa Comfortable, very nice but, TOO big......... I can tell that I still have a bit of track left in me. Thing is way too bulky for the kind of riding that I prefer.

07 ZX10.....ehh not a Kawi fan but, it's on sale for 9k (I'm tempted)

Bandit (just for kicks) sucks.

08 B-King.....nah

Funny, I absolutely LOVED the Boulevard in white.......MAN if I already had an up to date crotch rocket.......I'd buy that thing in a heartbeat but my 99R6 is a HUGE POCrap.

Next up......try to find a RC51 and check out a Buell dealership.

so you didn't sit on a '08 ZX-10R? That would've made you decision right there. ;)

They didn't have any in. All of the performance is so close anyway. I'm looking for a bike that I'm comfortable on. When I went from my 00R1 to the 99R6 I hated it. I feel like I'm all on top of the R6 especially in full tuck. Going back to a literbike or at least a long wheelbase V-twin sportbike.

So I'll see.

I'm splitting my play money between my two passions. So if that means I'll have to wait longer before my turbo.......then i will. hahahahaha Car will be in Dallas in two weeks to have the Maximum stuff all installed. The H/C/I will come in March. I'll get my bike probably in March too. :D Or April.

Close on our new house, next week also. Got alot of crap going on this year, don't I? :p

'08 zx-10 is a whole new bike.

so I take it from the '00 r1 and '99 r6 comments, you've never had a fuel injected bike?

Yes, I've read up on it. Looks a whole lot better than the 07 too. I just don't like Kawasakis for some reason, actually I think it's the paint. Naw, I've never ridden a FI bike before. I look forward to it.

Unless you're letting it go for 5k, I don't want a track bike. I want a street bike that will see an OCCASIONAL track day.

Screw an RC51 in the summatime!! They do keep the legs toasty in the cold though..

You set on getting a litrebike or are you looking at 600's as well?

I'm not a big tall guy but, I do not like the short wheelbases of the 600s. It's not about the power.......literbikes are overkill, but I want a good feel. I was more comfortable on my R1

I looked at the 1125r buell and I have to say it is fast. It just didn't feel right to me though, so i bought a VTR 1000 used. I like it a lot better, less power and more weight, but a lot of fun to ride, gobbs of tq and I know the honda engine will go 50k miles if I treat it right. That rotax engine....who knows.

Of coarse it wasn't a Harley dealership, at a H-D dealership they would have let you test drive as many as you wanted.

On a more reply to post note: GL on the RC51 those things are sweet. I'm not exactly a sport bike guy but I'd take one in a heart beat.

i was thinking the same thing... my harley dealership lets me sit on and ride anything including an 06 f4i with 1000 miles....

The new CBR1000RR looks promising. The last time I sat on a 06 CBR it felt nice and big (wide tank)
