I'm thinking about riding to Monroe, Louisiana this saturday, for a wedding.
Wonder how the weather will treat me

To bad I-20 is boring as hell. The highway going through Shreveport has been pretty shitting the last couple of times I've gone through there (lots of groves and dips). Hopefully you'll have some good weather, don't think it's to humid yet.
The highway sucks in big chunks from just inside the border, until just past Ruston. That leaves you 30 minutes tops of good driving road. If you're going that way, I'd take HWY 151 for a while in North LA. It parallels I-20 more or less, and adds twisties and nice scenery. The trade off is no shoulder and 6 ft bar ditches. Not a lot of room for error. Exit in Arcadia and you'll get back on I-20 at Carlton/Calhoun.

it shouldnt be too bad, i rode all the way to Sallisaw oklahoma one afternoon, then hit the mountains the next day, then all the way back to sherman.....Or the Dublin trip from last year, that was a pretty long one for my ass.
Although, the way the weather is shaping up, it looks like i'll be trucking it

Well, guys.....looks like i'm going for it, i called my uncle earlier and he said the weather is supposed to be mid 60's sunny with no rain, a little breezy...
Sounds like fun
You guys rode to Dublin? I live there.

The ride to and from Bastrop was boring as hell, i left the apartment at 7:30 in the morning saturday, missed a turn on 69, had to detour to Farmersville, get on 380, then back to greenville, then south on 69, to Emory texas, where i got on U.S. 19 south to Canton. From there, it was a long featureless ride to Monroe Louisiana, then north on U.S. 165 to Bastrop, to a shitty hotel called the preferred inn.
I had enough time to change for the wedding, then hop on the bike, go to the wedding, watch my little cousin get married, back on the bike to the hotel, pull the bike into the room, sleep, get up, pack up, pull bike out of room, go visit aunt and uncle, then head home. I pulled into my apartment at about 5:30 in the evening yesterday. Then i watched 3:10 to Yuma.
I know it isnt much of a write up, but there isn't much to write about on that ride.
Stayed above 80mph most of the time, got into some triple digits occasionally. No incidents, no tickets, just some saddle sore.
