May sound stupid, but Academy has pretty good pricing. I got mine for like 515 out the door at Oshmans before they changed names, and now I believe they dont carry firearms any longer. Academy had the second best price.

See thats why I was wondering, I was at academy and they glock 27's for 480. Thats what I found them for on all the gun sites.

They still have long guns, but no pistols anymore...in fact, I don't think they even carry pistol ammo anymore.

I bought my 27 at Academy for $499 + tax, but I had a $75 Academy gift card and a $25 AmEx gift card, so I got it for a better deal in the end...

Yeah see. Academy is a good deal. Those specialty shops always are higher for some reason. I bought both of my guns (Glock, Ruger) from Oshmans, but thats been 3 years ago. Academy I did look at too, and they were almost similar. Oh and you didnt have to wait for a sales person or get funny looks like at those other "Gun" Shops i went to. It was inexpensive, and quick. Good luck, youll love the Glock. I have a 23.

I will probaly get them from academy, thats where I bought my rugers a few years ago and they were the best price then too. I think I will like the glock, I'm going from a ruger p94 to a glock 27 to carry.

Yeah I had a P95, sold it to a board member because after I got my Glock I never shot the damn thing. lol Glock is so much better, but the Ruger was still a great gun.

A bored memeber here is buying my p94. It's not a bad gun I jsut want something lighter and smaller to carry. The 94 is too hard to carry in the summer time.

They usually have a pretty good collection of used police handguns as well.
