Well kinda, i bought it for my wife. Me and buddy went to Cheaper than Dirt and i couldn't walk out without buying something. She would have chewed my ass if i would a bought another gun so soon. I called her up and said "hey you want a gun" and she was like "hell yea"

I wasn't about to buy her any thing over 500$ and im not a Glock fan so the XD in 9mm was it. The last glass case on the left is for Law Enforcement but the guy told me it applies for Active Duty Military too. I'm in the Texas Air Guard but hey the guy behind the counter doesn't know that ;)

When you buy out of that case is just a package deal. It came with 3 high cap mags, 2 mag holster , gun holster , loader, lock and bore brush. 430$

It does take a little force, but its not too bad, shell probably have to get used to it though, mine hasnt really loosened up any...

Depending on if shes right handed, she might be able to two-thumb it if her thumbs can reach with her grip...

Yes she is right handed but I'm going to take her to Winchester tomorrow and put a few hundred rounds threw it and loosen it up.

Good deal, thats the most important thing, getting her comfortable with it and learn to shoot it, hell even break it down and clean it:D

Do they make an extended release like they do with Glocks? I used to have a little problem releasing mine when I first bought it but I'm not sure if it loosened up or I got used to it. Just wondering.

Propellerhead has put 10k rounds through his and the last time I shot it, it was just as strong as mine at 1500 rounds... They don't loosen up very much...

I like my XDs. I just went over the 12,000 round mark on my XD9.

50 headshots at 7 yards. Two handed. Isosceles stance. Followed by about 200 rounds to the body at 10 and 15 yards. A good mix of two handed, strong hand only and weak hand only at different shooting stances with some quick slide lock reloads.

I took the wife today to winchester, she loves it. We put a few hundred rounds threw it with no problems. It shoots a tight group and little recoil. I'm think about picking one up in a 40 and using it for my concealed carry instead of my expensive 1911's.

what do ya'll think a xd 40 cal is worth?, or how about a sig p-239 9mm?
the reason I'm asking is I took these 2 guns in payment for money being owed.
both are practically new.
