I do believe that I have found my next handgun. The Taurus 608 .357 Mag.

Is it just me or is this thing pure sex? Anybody ever shot one before? How does it feel? Is the weight balanced pretty well? Any problems I need to be aware of?

Taurus shows that to be a 6.5" 8 shot .357 Magnum.
I could have bought any gun, but I recently bought the Ruger GP100 because I wanted to load hot rounds.
With a 8 shot cylinder, it doesn't have much cylinder wall material between cylinders. Kinda like an old mid 70's Chevy smallblock 400ci.
With hot .357 rounds I want a substantial chamber, that's why I bought the 6 shot. Besides, if you hit something with a full .357 Magnum, you shouldn't need all 6 (or 8) rounds.

never shot that gun, but I've never been dissapointed by taurus. Even the .45 semi I have has been a great gun through several thousand rounds...Never a single jam.

I almost bought that gun because it was a good price, and it held 8 shots.
I bought a Ruger GP100.
My first handgun, and people often refer to taurus as a budget handgun, and i dont want to skimp on something that will protect my life.
After researching it, i would compare the taurus to a KIA, or Hunidia

I have a taurus and I completley love it. all except the assembly part. after cleaning it, its a little hassle to get together again. It shoots hot and accurate loads. it hasnt failed me ever

I had planned on saying that Taurus makes good guns but after reading that one review decided not to. I didn't look any further.

How do you disassemble revolvers?
Mine's a nickled snub nosed .38 revolver. It shoots a little high and to the right but other than that it does what it's supposed to...

I have that exact gun. Accurate and no problems with it at all. I have Taurus handguns as well as more expensive guns, nothing wrong with Taurus.
