Found 2K rounds!

Jezus, I need to clean up around my safe more often.

I was looking for a box for my Nikon SB800 flash (I keep all my original boxes in case I need to sell them) and was rummaging around my safe.

I thought I only had empty boxes on top, but I found 1k of 7.62x39 (Wolf) and 1k rounds of 62 gn .223 brassed "training ammo" that I had forgotten I had.


That's about a $500 find these days :D

A few weeks ago a friend of mine gave me ~600 rds of .223 relaods that someone had given him. :cool:

I've got about 14k of .223 now. 3,900 rounds in the South African 300 round battle packs and about 9k rounds in Wolf 1k round boxes, 1k of the "training ammo" and misc .223 in UMC 20 round boxes. Oh, and about 200 rounds of the good Winchester Varmint ammo.....

I wished the Gulf War would end so ammo prices could come down. I'm not shooting near as much as I used to. It's hard to go out and have fun blasting a 1,000 rounds of AR ammo when you know you just spent over $200 in doing so.
