Just thought I'd post a pic of my wheel guns including the newest Ruger..

Hey, is it true that 642 airweight kicks like a beast with hotter ammo in it?

It's pretty sharp with +P ammo. It kicks just a tad harder than the S&W 65 with full .357 Magnum ammo.

It doesn't hurt, its more of a sharp blowback/up recoil.

I need to chony some +P ammo and see what it's doing. I know the tiny barrel can't allow for a complete powder burn, so I'm sure the energy wouldn't be the same as the advertised energy.

I was reading an article about a .44mag airlite from S&W, and their review was basically, "It would be a great gun to shoot .44 special out of..." :D

The Airweight weighs in at 424 grams, or 14 and 7/8 ounces.

Shooting a +P round out of anything that light is not meant for long distance precision shooting. This is a down and dirty close up weapon, and if need be, a contact gut shot.

Just imagine shooting the Scandium alloy guns. They weigh 12 ounces unloaded. :eek:

Yep, Miss my .44 Mag, got to see how to save up and get another one. Had to have rent $$$ years ago, damn it. :(

That looks alot like my Taurus 650SS in .357 Mag.

It weighs 23 and 7/8 ounces or 678 grams. :eek:

What model of Taurus is it that weighs just 13.5 ounces????
