glock 19 generation differences [Archive]

I've been trying to find a site that lists out the differences in the generations of the glock 19 but have been unsuccessful, does anyone know of a link?

there are only 3 generations of g17s, and 2 generations of g19s. so basically the first g19 was a 2nd gen gun. there was also gen 2.5. but ill get to that in a minute.

this is a first gen g17

and the gen 2.5 has finger grooves like gen 3, but no rail. it was really an early gen 3.
