1 Round of qualifying, 8 car qualified field. If 8 cars or less show up to qualify - we'll draw numbers and start eliminations immediately. The only 'rule' is - if you can't make the call to the lanes, your competitor will get a competition bye run and you will forfeit.

*Anything goes
*Door cars only
*Any tires
*Any Weight
*Blowers, Turbos, Nitrous, Naturally Aspirated or all of the above.


BRACKETS

No Electronics rules apply
No transbrakes
No timers
No throttle stops
...just you, your footbrake and your car.



The bracket class is intended for regular members, not regular bracket racers.

There will be 50/50 tickets again, Tshirts to be thrown in the stands, and prizes!!!

The post rule will not be in effect this time around, instead it's going to be a length of membership with DFWStangs - You must have joined the site by 01/01/2008 to run in any of the money events (for this cruise).

As you all know by now, I am a stickler for safety. DO NOT ASK TO RUN YOUR CAR IF YOU KNOW IT'S NOT LEGAL. If you make a pass and you are not legal you will be asked to park it. No, I can't see everyone breaking safety rules - but the ones I see will be talked to.

*Street tire cars are asked to drive around the water boxes, not THROUGH them.
*If you break on the track pull to the side so that you don't spill fluid all the way down the track.
*Once the rules are posted, they are final. (changes with a majority vote are considered)
*If you are leaking, you will be pushed off of the track - it's not personal.
*If you are driving in an "unsafe" manor, even on the track, you will be asked to leave.

lmfao Josh, I'll be in the 6.4ish range if I'm lucky... that's what you ran about 5 years ago isn't it? I wont even have the boost controller hooked up yet, and will be running 10-11 psi tops. I may change the waste gate springs for a 7 psi setting, dunno how much it's going to make on 10 yet. I just want to break in the combo and new motor some, and get some clean passes that hopefully go straight. :o

Eventually... baby steps, I don't want to roll it or put it in the wall or jump the wall into the stands... :(

I'll be on LOW boost, as low as the damn waste gate springs will let me be... I might even order some smaller ones to break in the setup. <10 psi...

If I can run a few mid 6s @ 105-110 or so, I'll be VERY happy... :)

Hell I'd be happy to run that in my truck when it's finished... might be decent numbers for a 6cyl. With the build up I've got planned I should easily hit 325hp and 460+ tq. Hopefully that'll be good enough for a decent run.

93 F150 with a the 4.9L 300. Been talking to Larry over at Clifford Performance and we've planned out a rebuild for the whole engine. So far we're looking at:

2 Piece Longtube Header (so that it's a true dual set up)
Some sort of x-pipe
Hydraulic 264 torque camshaft
Blueprinted cylinder head
New lifters, springs, retainers, valve locks, and hardened pushrods
Ram Flow intake
Dual carbed adapter (if i go carbed)


The only thing Im having to choose between is going with a dual carbed Holley 470 set up or a Howell Throttle body F.I. set up. From what Larry told me with the dual carbs he can tune it a more aggressivley and pull more torque out of it. But I'm leaning towards keeping it fuel injected so I don't have to worry about the inspection and all.

If I go with the FI set up I can be looking at around 280rwhp and around 420tq. Which is a major improvement over my 150hp/240tq stock numbers.

With a little more aggressive cam which he's trying to steer me towards he can pull 500tq outta my truck.

FWIW - I changed the date for the fall cruise. I certainly didn't want it on the same weekend as FFW. I couldn't make it myself and I'm fairly certain everyone else would be at FFW too.

Tranny, bell, flexplate, spacer & crossmember are all ordered.... Trying to decide on converter & get it ordered today, norrowed converter down to Lenny or Chance.. I have to say that they were the most professional & informative out of all 6 companies I have spoke to in the last 2 days. I have one of Lennys converters behind my C4 now & it works great so I am leaning in that direction.

Now I just need to order the dipstick & convert my Cheetah over to reverse pattern (They have a kit), just not sure I want that shifter anymore as its always been to easy to shift from 1'st to 3'rd & i hear its the same with the TH400 gate. If I could get ahold of Percision Performance I might just order one of theirs.

Actually, I don't ahve any experience with a TH400 in a Mustang - I'd say it's similar in size to an AOD. I know a shield will fit a 'glide - but not sure on the TH400. I blanket tends to keep heat in too much IMHO. .

It depends on how fast your car is, but all racers must have a regular shirt and long pants at the very least...after that it depends on how fast your car is.

Well I'm retarded. I got to the track at 9am and no one was here. I finnaly figured out that I didn't set the clock in my car back. Now I'm sitting at the gate waiting until the correct 9am comes around.
