WOOT! My band got played on the 102.1 today!!

Hell yea!!! Ayo from 102.1 The Edge sent me an email and was like "you've got some spin time tonight". I had several people calling me and saying they heard us. Freakin AWESOME!!! 1st time for being on big time radio :D I didn't get to hear it bc I had no clue he was going to play us. :( He also advertised for our show this saturday when we headline Curtain Club, which I thought was pretty cool. My band is The Standard Issue, and here is our myspace (www.myspace.com/hearstandardissue)

To tell you the truth, the only song I liked was "Better Off Alone". The safe, radio friendly vocals aren't my cup of tea either and almost made me completely turn it off. I see what group of people you're aiming your sound for, but it just ain't me.

Thanks guys! Yea, I'm not really a fan of the stuff that's on the myspace too, though better off alone is prolly my fav on there. Everything on there is over a year old and we have alot of new material that is MUCH better than what's on there. :D

that place is closed down. Not sure if they are going to reopen or not. They got vandalized for $70k of damages. It was a fun place to play.

I play rhythm guitar and backing vocals. Umm we have alot, it ranges anywhere from Metallica and Killswitch Engage to John Mayer and Dave Matthews. So the product usually ends up somewhere in between :p
