Yes. We are going to pair up the 16 cars with closest times. That means if we have 5 cars running 5.20-5.40, but we have 25 running 6.75-7.15, then we will run that 2nd category. This show is going to be all about having fun and letting everybody have a chance to play.

It will depend on how it goes. I would doubt that it would be every Sunday, but maybe twice a month.

Sorry, I have been out of the office having to do some manual labor for the past couple of days here at the track, and I haven't been able to follow-up with our owner regarding your question.
We did have some sort of student discount last year for some races, I just need to ask him what the price was before I can give you an answer. As soon as I get the correct info I will post it up.

Im confused, is there going to be a break-out on this race like pinks. For example, pinks took the 16 cars closest to 10.00 and if you ran a 9.99 you were out. Is this race at denton gonna be like that?

There will not be a breakout in that form. When we are picking cars that will be match racing, we will looking at the ETs and MPH to make sure that we keep as much sandbagging out as possible. Also, an official will be watching every car that goes down the race track for any abnormalities.
We wil also be policing people that use nitrous. when we pick the 16 racers, we will talk to them before the race starts and let them know that we have no intention of watching 2 or 3 cars pick a second and running away with the race.
There is no way to counteract sandbagging completely...to me that's part of the game in a sense. But we want a fair, competitive race that provides most fun for the racers and spectators. I just don't see the sense in kicking someone out because their car picks 2 or 3 hundreths.

policing people with nitrous how? making sure they dont change the shot or run on motor the first pass get picked then spray it? what about turbo guys? they can run low boost and then jack it up and win too so dont just pick on the nitrous guys

That's what I was saying. There is no way to police this type of thing completely. What I am referring to is making sure that someone doesn't qualify on motor, running 6.50s lets say, then first round of the race he puts the juice to it and runs 5.70s all of the sudden.
If somene changes the pills or jacks up the boost on a turbo, there is absolutely no way for us to know that. What I will be looking for is large discrencies in ET and MPH between qualifying and the race.
These are the things that we will be addressing with the drivers before they race 1st round. In order to make this deal work and be successful in the long-term there has to be some sort of integrity from the drivers. I don't want to be forced to put in a rule that may affect honest racers whose cars pick up a little ET due to changes in weather, track conditions, etc, but if we have to then we will for the next one.

NickOne episode Nate even kicked someone out for p/u 1.5 tenths but mph was dead on Nate even stated on the show the guy just hooked better than he had all day...& that was the reason but dq'ed him anyway, made no sense at all....

So the moral of the story is run hard enough to make good, representative passes in qualifying, but know how to win a heads-up race by tuning to the track and weather to beat your opponent by 1-2 hun...not 1-2 tenths!! If you've got something left, don't show your hand all at once.
Remember, no one but the track will know what ET spread will make up the 16 car field. You could be sandbagging your way right out of the game by trying to be clever.
Now if I could just figure out how to get 18-20 4.90 cars there all at once....hmmmmm.

...but I'd be happy with anything that can run those numbers just so there's enough of them to create a viable 16-car field.

Yeah...it did kinda post big, huh? Some boards have a limit on size...guess this on doesn't.
If we're up at North Star the same day let's run. 5.30's on motor, 4.70-4.90's on the white bottle depending on how happy I want to make it.
