I think after she gets trounced in New Hampshire she calls it quits.

Hard to say... The clinton machine likes to bitch and whine, but I dont think I've ever seen them in this bad a shape... it will be new ground. You may be right, after her balling on camera last night, she definitely is going to be winning any office though.

I sure hope not; the conservatives need her to be nominated to bring out the conservative vote. Uneducated conservatives might see obama as a moderate and not come out to vote. But to answer the question it is starting to not look good for her.

I highly doubt that will happen, she has tons of negative image, it could only hurt the primary candidate.

That's what really made me go... hmmmm...

I think that hurt her more than her "she-devil" personality. People can put up with a she-devil but not a she-devil that cries.

At some point I see her making buddies with either Edwards or Obama and becomes the VP.

You guys are giving her credit for having enough class to concede defeat. Hillary will stay until bitter end. And if she does get beat, it won't be because people hate her for the worthless scumbag she is; it'll be because of a vast conspiracy out to get her.

...and Hillary won't be done running when this election is over.

The tears did Edwin Muskie in back in the '72 election. Folks don't want to see a weakness in a candidate, male or female.

Kinda like what they'll say in 35 years about Ron Paul? ;) Muskie was actually a front-runner until his display of emotion. I have nothing against it, but the reality is that most folks see that as a weakness in a leadership role.

No even if she loses NH and SC she'll still be in it for super tuesday. Remember that Obama and Clinton are tied nationally among registered democrats. What gives Obama the lead is his support from independents and republicans. She still has a shot at winning the nomination with closed primary states but I think the democrats learned a lesson from 2004 that electability counts. Otherwise Gravel or Kucinich would be the front runners.

Don't know, dude. Presidential campaigns require a shit load of money and I understand they are close to fumes at the moment (fumes being 15-25MM, lol!)

An ass-kicking in NH isn't going to do much for her gathering up new primary money.

I'm with you on this one, as it did sound scripted, and was no doubt crafted to draw in the woman vote, and those in touch with their feminine sides as noted above.

Possibly a mild sign of desperation?

Regardless what it is, she would be the President - that office has no room for anyone in it as a leader to be crying. Regardless if it is for show or not. I think most people would agree with me on that one.

No, really... he does have a point. In the end, the President almost always bases his decision on his patry's popular opinion anyway. You'll NEVER elect just one person into office, just parties. This is all about who can put on the best "show" to get their party into office.

I have to disagree, I'm not defending Clinton because it came across as scripted just like everything else she does, but presidents are humans too and one thing humans do is show emotion. Bush held the tears back but you could see it in his eyes when he addressed the country after the 9.11 attacks, if he had showed no emotion then I would be worried. A lot of politicians come across as fake but only because we force them to live up to impossible standards, they have a little bit of a soul left you know ;)

I understand what you're saying. Maybe a bit of emotion is okay depending on the circumstances. However, if you're crying during election - (fake or not) I gotta assume you're going to be a bawling baby in actual office.

I've never been President (obvious), but I'd imagine the stress and drama is like no other job. Well, besides what military leaders have to deal with.

I just don't think crying in office is a good idea in general. If you're crying during election....

"All" is a gross oversimplification. The media can and does provide useful information to individuals able to discern hype from facts.

To not show emotion would have meant he's a psychopath. Not really a good quality for a president.

Where else do you get your education about politicians? IMO, the only way we have to learn about them is to read as much stuff as you can. Newspapers, TV, Military articles (VA, AL, VFW...etc), hell...even forums.

Unless you're with the candidates everyday, you have no other way to really know what they do as opposed to say.

Just like the American public does not have a clue what goes on in military environmnets. The media sucks - the way to get both sides is from people who "were there" and other articles that show the other side.

Are you comparing holding tears back after 9/11 to crying after a campaign ass-whooping? Please!

And yes, Presidents are human and have emotion, but not in front of the country. It's their time to be bold and confident when the people need someone to be. That person is our ultimate representative.

LOL no, i'm just saying we have to accept our politicians for who they are. All this showed us is that Clinton just isn't ready to run a country, much less a campaign. But a little display of emotion isn't always a bad thing, before Romney cried on meet the press I thought he was just zombie Nixon. Now at least I know theres a human underneath that hair.
