I had my fiance's G35 detailed a couple of weeks ago & he said that I should use water & a micro fiber cloth only. No soap at all. He said to dry it with a micro fiber cloth as well, No shami. I live in Corpus so I couldn't take it to Nick.

A good PH'd balanced car soap provides lubrication and helps loosen the dirt and grime that has attached to the vehicles finish. Always use soap! Always!

Anything that's made for automobiles will do . . . DO NOT USE HAND OR DISHWASHING SOAP!!!!

A lot of people use Meguiar's Gold Class soap. It's a very good soap, cheap, and available pretty much everywhere.

Why the hell would he tell me not to use soap? The reason he gave me was cuz it will eat the wax away or something like that.

Dish Soap(Dawn), will strip all of your wax off your vehicle. A properly PH balanced car wash soap will not strip your wax off.

I'm not quite sure why he would tell you something like this. As just using water and a towel will scratch and swirl the crap out of your paint. Always use soap, no matter what.
