So I got two more weeks of racing? Alright. That should give me enough time to blow my shit up so i can transplant the new stuff a little quicker. :D

I love going to Kennedale and all...

but how bout improving the restrooms? It is rediculous how nasty they are, half the time there is no running water.

I just got an email from the owners of the track. There are no specific dates set as of yet - they are still trying to iron it out.

I've heard many rumors of changes, as soon as I get the real word on what's happening - I'll be sure to post.

It's hard to keep everyone happy. Unfortunately there are many people who insist on vandalizing the track, the restrooms, the bleachers etc.. So, it becomes nearly a daily task to repair the bathrooms, bleachers, trash cans etc..

As soon as I have the full scoop I'll be sure to post up.

At least they spend money improving the track, unlike other "The Belly".

At the KOTH rules meeting Matt said Kdale will be all concrete and have the new concrete retaining walls by the first race so we'll see.

Sounds about right seeing as all the people from the belly came to Kdale... those kind of people seem to move around and ruin everything for everyone....

Anyword whether they r keeping it 1/8 or moving to 1/4?

It would be sweet if they could move up to the 1/4 but I'm not sure if they have the room.

Not enough shutdown room for 1/4 mile anymore. Back when it was a 1/4 mile track, the cars weren't nearly as fast. That was a loooong time ago.

But the money that "Those kind of people" bring in on Friday and Sunday far out weighs the price of unclogging the toliet or fixing the door on the stall.

EXACTLY why its being done.......and has to be all pavement from wall to wall, this has been in the works from nhra for a cpl yrs now........gave the tracks time to get it done..i guess they waited till the last minute......should have shut it down after the last big race and got to work.

i laugh at the one's that are complaining about the bathrooms.....if you don't like those,go down to the old one's and see how ya like em..!!!! :D

there is a creek at the end of the track now, so if it is converted to 1/4 mile that is something that has to be considered, so I doubt that 1/4 mile would happen.

it would suck going over the wall at 200mph and down in a creek.

Damn dont go to HMP then, at the end of the track you have the traps and a net, after the net you have a 8 foot ditch thats 20 foot wide, and then the main road. We were racing doug Reisterer and we had pulled out chutes and dougs did not launch and then he went through all of the traps and into that ditch, it was bad and had a small fire to boot. Ken came flying out of the car to go help.

The creek is farther than you think, also it will not be a 1/4 mile, at most they would extend the shut down area. But thats not in the plans as of now...

I do know they are also putting up more lighting on the spectator side.
