Man it was packed and still more people showing up when I left. Even oh Mike Murillo had his black coupe out there for alittle test and tuning. He only made 2 passes and the first one well on the top end he got loose. And went for the middle and I thought he took out the beams. But I guess he just barley missed it. Later he came back and made a clean straight pass. Maybe mid 4 to high 5, not really for sure. No time were posted. Very nice day and night out there. I have never seen it that pack on a Sunday before.

I was there! It was FULL. I have never ran my car before, ever but I am now hooked! I could only make one pass though. It took way too long to get through before I had to go.
Red 66 mustang with black wheels. I slept at the light, real nervous and excited since it was my first time out.

yep, there is usually 2 or 3 of them that I have seen. Is yours the one that runs 7.5's?

Nope... It's run a best of a 7.90 so far. I've done a couple tricks and got some DR's to slap on it for the next time out. Oh.. and a 150shot too :) . I'm shooting for low 7's

There was a black TBSS with welds on the back and drag tires. One of the guys standing by it came up to me wearing a green shirt. Said he had two 60s ponys.
Blazer was quick!
As for cameras and photography, I only saw one guy exclusively taking pictures. Do they allow anyone to take pictures? My dad has some pretty nice photo equipment and a nice video camera and I know he wouldn't mind shooting some video and taking some photos.

Man the lines were long, too many people near the starting line, and oh yea a fight nearly broke out in the staging lanes over a race (lots of money on it I heard). Getting more like yellowbelly all the time. :o

yea but this is like 10 times the business they use to get on sunday's.
oh and th only reason why the longs were kinda of long was from people breaking. they slowed it down alot

It got a little questionable with the actions of by standers, enough for me to walk away and tell a group of guys to watch out. I nearly got elbowed in the face by some stoned guy. There needed to be better crowd control, some security or higher authority figures out there(I saw none). I kept looking at my car every few races to make sure my bag was still in there.
At times the people watching were more interesting than the races! F this, F that, Ni..er this and that. I can understand letting people roam where they want too just to check out the cars and stuff but I had no idea a stock 66 mustang would attract so many people they would start leaning on it.
Maybe I was just paranoid since it was my first time out but damn. Wont stop me from returning though. I'll just stay out of peoples way and I have learned where not to stand, or the groups of people to be around. I need my own pit crew to hang out with it seems like.

Sounds like a night at HMP, went once with a buddy of mine who likes 1/8 mile and will never go back. LOL But the same reason I will not go back is why others love that track.
