anyone have any experience with this?
when i say hooked up, i mean, RCA component (W,R,Y) hooked up into the VGA port of the monitor.
do you think the picture will be good enough? do you think an LCD would have a good enough response time for video games?
the picture will look like crap... RCA is not made for higher resolutions

i figured that. fuck. i don't want to pay money for a pro/elite.
does anyone know whether or not the core system supports at least 5 RCA component?
i've seen some places say they do and some places say they dont?

Uhm, I have my 360 connected to my VGA monitor. All you need is the VGA cable (http://www.xbox.com/en-US/hardware/x/xbox360vgahdcable/).
No need to buy another box.

What size monitor do you have? Can you see everything alright with it? I've been thinking about getting a 19" widescreen for this same reason but I wasn't sure if id be able to see everything as well because of the size.

\daaaamn... $40 for a vga cable and some rca's? Buy the cables separate and spend less than 1/2 the money.

Microsoft makes an HDMI cable so you can hook a 360 up to a monitor with DVI capabilites. And they actually look pretty damn good.

I'm using a 19inch widescreen. I've also used a 21 CRT, and it was great there as well.

Well, it's the Xbox 360 connector that makes it expensive, that, and it's sold by Microsoft.
