It was pretty cool seeing them play a winter game outside in winter conditions. You could tell they were having flashbacks to when they played outside as kids.
Is this supposed to be a annual event or a one shot deal?

i was flipping between that and the Florida vs. Michigan game. i was really cool to see it outside, and even better when it was snowing. last outdoor game was in Edmonton i believe in 2003.

cool, i hope the ratings fared well.... which i doubt. but hopefully it will be good enough for them to do it again next year.
watching them play in the snow and sleet was as unique as watching an old game without the advertisements along the boards.

I watched it and really enjoyed it. For someone watching hockey for the first time may have hated it because it was rather slow and conditions would prevent what good play was happening to be continuous.
But as a fan of the sport I enjoyed it very much.
Cant wait to hit up the ponds when I make it back to Canada this February.

That commercial with Ryan Miller and Jean-Sebastien Aubin was pretty funny.
That was a great game, Sidney Crosby is going to party tonight.

I thought it was greatness. I was over at my parents house watching the game, and my grandparents were there. My grandfather grew up in Minnesota and he said that was the only way to play hockey when he was a kid. He got a kick out of it.

It was the most viewed regular season game since 1996. For those that were curious bout whether or not it had publicity.

Even more than Wayne Gretzky's final game.
Where is the game going to be next year?

I hope they dont do it next year.
But I wouldnt put it past the NHL to burn something out.
Personally I think it should be a every other year thing or something. With locations pretty much limitedless. I mean they had an outdoor NHL game in Las Vegas in 95* weather, so....

i'd like to see them do it every year, but alternate between canada and usa for the venues. i think it will draw even bigger ratings if the teams can be american vs canadian. not sure if montreal has an outdoor stadium or not (probably so), but how cool would it be to see the ny rangers play montreal or toronto?
