Any real difference between Zaino and Tropi-care products other than pricing? I was thinking doing the truck since black is so hard to keep clean and wanted a long lasting product.

Zaino products are OK, their wax w/ sealer lock seems to last a very long time, although I don't use it since cars that I work on never seen rain or even wet roads..

I'm pretty sure tropi-care is just a re-bottled/branded product..

Ive used just about all of the wax products, but I found that the Turtle Wax Platinum series, works the best on my truck. It keeps a good shine and a smooth feel for 2 or more weeks.

I have the Megs 3 step but not enough time to do it properly.

And you think Zanio is going to be quicker?

Zaino is the way to go, especially for Black. It was designed with that color in mind, it also lasts over a year. It's all I use on my personal cars and customers with high end vehicles. Tropicare, I haven't used it, but I have not heard good things about it...'Henry

That is very good news. I don't trust myself to properly prep and apply that to my truck so I'll let a professional handle it.

Nick, how long would the wax from your detailing last? My truck is not garage kept so I'm not expecting to great of longevity but I would like a rough estimate.

I've got a couple of different options that you can choose from. Give me a call at 214-205-1287 and we can go over them.

I'll say it . . . Tropicare is TERRIBLE compaired to Zaino. Zaino lasts longer and protects better on Daily's. I don't understand everyone complaining about the first application of it. If you want your car to look great, every product requires alot of prep, so get off your lazy ass and get'er done.

I used zaino on my Grand National and it was great. I've used Tropicare on my white TTA, and while it initially looked and felt great, it didn't last a month. I'm not sure how long Zaino would last because by the time I usually detailed the car (a couple months) it would still be working (beading up water). And I drove that car daily. The TTA with Tropicare wouldn't bead up after a month, and that car sits in the garage.

So there . . . it's been said. Zaino and anything other than Tropicare FTW.

Anyone ever use products from Autopia Car Care? They claim that they are better than Zanio.

Not sure what your trying to acclomplish here, you asked for the difference between Zaino and Tropicare and you got answers, now your asking about Autotopia, they just sell multiple products some good, some I never heard of?

Zaino was designed for the color black because of visible swirl marks and cloth scratches (light scratches that are visible) on the surface of clearcoat. It was also formulated to have longevity. I have been using 3M and Meguires products for over 15 yrs. I was told that Zaino was the next best thing, something I was always hearing in the automotive business, but I always went with what worked.

In 2001 I decided to use Zaino on my personal Black Mustang Cobra, I never could get water mark streaks left from the carwashes off of my back bumper cover, I followed the directions and just did the rear bumper cover and I was amazed at the clarity and depth that the Zaino left. I have been a Zano user since. The next year I used it on my Black Lightning, I buffed it and sealed the pores on the paint and then I applied Zaino, it won first place at the Autorama and everyone wanted to know where I had it painted.... no paint, just Zaino. I still use Meguires and 3M products but on my personal vehicles and customers high end cars I use Zaino...'Henry
