How did UT do against A&M in their last meeting? Hell how about the last two meetings? You have a another year of having to realize A&M once again bested your team, period. Go ahead and try to justify UT's existence by pointing out the bowl games, regardless of how A&M did against Penn, it simply makes one realize you can't accept the Aggies are better than UT when they meet, ;) . Part of the problem at A&M, is all they care about is beating UT. One day, they will realize that just beating UT isn't near enough to get the recruits they need to be a top tier team. The utter failure to win bowl games is a big problem. The country only sees A&M during the bowl game season, and they have done so poorly, they can't recruit the way they should. So yes, beating UT two years in a row will give you something to crow about for the next ten years , but does it really help in the grand scheme of national recognition and recruiting? Aggies want their program to be respected nationwide, but it has to be earned.

By the way, they should have destroyed Penn State, but choked on national television. The loss of that game will hurt them a lot more than beating Texas will help them. And yes, I was pulling for the Ags (as well as all Big 12 teams), and was disappointed.

UT fans are realistic about our football team. We expect a big 12 championship every year and a shot at the NC game. A&M realize that they cant do nothing more then try to beat UT every year. Like I said before, A&M fans need to aim higher every year then trying to beat UT. ;)

I always thought that UT fans deflected a loss to A&M by knowing that we're just better in general. Wins, losses and rankings don't mean a lot. If all that stuff really mattered, there would not be single Aggie fan alive today. They would have all slit their own throats looking at how their own administration has handled the football program over the last 4 years. There is no where else to point the finger of blame for ending up 7th best in the Big 12.

Maybe the SEC will trade us Mississippi State and Arkansas for A&M and Oklahoma State...

I couldn't believe that Fran pulled away from Alabama for a job at a tier 2 school. He might as well have taken a job at Florida A&M. The talent there is about the same... maybe better now.

Well as soon as A&M gets a coach that can recruit on the level that Brown and Stoops do. I think A&M made a good move picking up Sherman, as for A&M's bowl record, horrible would best describe it. One nice thing about Fran leaving is look at TCU and Bama, they both improved upon his departure, we'll see.

Believe it or not, I agree with this statement. Sherman was a very good hire for the Ags, and will bring in good talent on his own merit.

2. There is not a Horn alive that would trade the two Ls to the ags, and our 10 wins (including a Bowl win) in each season, for either of the Ags last two seasons.

Aggies will always be a 2nd tier school and either the 2nd or 3rd best team in Texas...much less the big XII South

Sherman will NEVER be able to recruit like Mack or Stoops

The Aggies will not win a Big XII title the rest of this decade for sure.

well placed... not because i'm a UT fan, but because A&M is not taking the right steps to pick up the right people to get the job done. I will go as far as to say that Stoops has a small advantage on Mack every year. Guys that have a reputation for recuriting and getting the job done. Mack and Stoops get their guys in the Draft and do it very well. A lot of H/S kids want that opportunity.
