I'm right, it's a title fight. Yes the winner fights Serra, but that'll be a unification fight, if/when Serra is ready. The winner of this fight is the Interim champ, but still the champ.

Yeah matt hughes is a dick! Im glad GSP beat him at his own game! Hughes wrestling didnt do shit for him tonight! GSP i believe can be one of the next best welterweight champs! Hes showed what incredible skill he has and i know he can dominate that division for a while. I know serra beat him last time but i really dont think he will this time. Oh and as for the chuck and wanderlei fight! Im kinda pissed that wanderlei just let him stand up that one when he had em on the ground! If he woulda taken advantage of that he coulda probly ended the fight a different way! Also fuckin chuck just goin for the take downs to get more points and let the clock run. i didnt see the fight that way.Chuck slipped and got back up quick,If Chuck had a little more gas he would have knocked Wanderlei out.But i am going to watch the replay.

He did slip when he threw a kick at Wanderlei but he was also knocked down to. Slip or knocked down though if you know it is rare for chuck to go down and you don't take advantage of that, then you just got to be stupid or something.

Yeah i was pretty dam pissed that he let him up! That was his chance and he shoulda taken it! His advantage was also being on the ground with lidell! If he would of at least got half guard on him he coulda done some damage but i really dont know what he was thinking! He always kept on saying he wanted to knock him out in the interviews as well as chuck has been sayin. But it didnt happen!

I dont know the fight you saw...but they pretty much stood up the whole time....They exchanged some pretty mean shots, and at no time did I think chuck was hurt, I think something was up with that ring...cause if you notice almost every fight someone slipped up and tripped or just plain fell down. Once silva caught him with a punch as he was backing up and he fell but thats different....That big ass black guy with the predator mask got tore up!! :eek:

He hit pretty decent but not like he did when him and rampage fought! I think everyone in here is an idiot that talks like Chuck is a no one and he is weak?!? GSP was winning their first fight and made a mistake. He came into their 2nd fight and DOMINATED Matt Hughes. St.Pierre is a better fighter at EVERYTHING than Matt Hughes. In the 3rd fight, he took Matt Hughes down twice with ease. As long as St.Pierre is in the Welterweight division Matt Hughes will never hold a title. If Matts smart (Highly unlikely) he'll go back to farming.

Yes, what I was getting at, is americans who keep up with PRIDE, have known for years that steroids play a huge role in PRIDE. I posted on another website 3 weeks ago, how big Wanderlei looked, but you also have to keep in mind that Wanderlei got more lean for this fight with Chuck, but Wanderlei has always been around 205 as far as weight, so all he's probably done was lean up, but gain more muscle mass.
You're only about 3-4 years late on that call.

Wanderlei was more lean, but he still weighed in the same as he normally does, so all he basically did was trim the fat and put on more muscle mass. He trained harder for that fight than he ever has for any fight, so my hats off to Wanderlei for his appearance. Chuck looked good too.

Wandy had the right strategy to start with, make Chuck come forward and not let him counter punch and get him out of his comfort zone.

Edit: He used to continue coming forward. I'm hoping this last fight was a poorly executed game plan, and not him being timid in UFC.

I know everyone was expecting a kio in the Wandy/Liddell fight. I was kind of hoping it would go to a decision. If either one of them was to get KO'd again they would probably have retired. Atleast with the decision they both can go on putting on some good shows down the road and possibly meet up again. Chuck looked hungry for a win from the time he walked out of the locker room. They both looked good and put on a nice show.

Agreed, I was pretty split as I like both fighters. It was a good fight, but Chuck got it done.

Each and every fighter is tested before and after every contest by the State Athletic Commision. Being it was the state of Nevada, it's even more strict. And just because a fighter is on juice, it doesn't make him a better fighter then the other guy. There is much more to a fight then strength- timing, cadence, coordination, speed, skill varation and totality.
A fighter who does juice only confirms his worst fear, in all actuality he is weak. Regardless of the amount of weight he can move, he is still weak in spirit.
My understanding is that half are randomly selected. And most are using steroid for recovery not muscle building. Nadrolone seems to be the substance that many have been caught with in their system.

A fighter can be summoned at anytime if he is licensed by the commision to be tested for substance abuse. But make no mistake, before and after every fight, every fighter is tested. The UFC has a very strict policy on it because Dana White himself said this would be a horrible time to get caught up in all of that due to what is going on in baseball at the moment.
