I average $6000 per year in charitable donations, I've worked at charity food banks & delivered truckloads of food & water after Katrina, not to mention put in hundreds of hours of labor for Habitat for Humanity.....can you match that Elvis?
Being a Christian does not grant exclusive rights to care about your fellow man.
But you do have one point....hypocritical Christians do make me bitter.

not trying to enter a pissing contest, just wondering why you constantly post in this forum it since you despise so much. but since you asked...tithe last yr. was just above $40k, i serve dinner to the homeless on christmas and thanksgiving, work for habitat for humanity, was a "big brother" in the past, i've donated 2 "used" cars, bought $700 worth of christmas toys for the less fortunate and i pick up hitchhikers. :D
god bless you scott.

I also do not want to enter a pissing contest. But this a public forum whre your free to state your opinion, & I happen to think a large majority of Christians are hypocrits. I also beleive the Bible is not The Absolute Truth.
God obviously smiled upon you, since you make $400K/year & you do your part by tithing $40K, not to mention other charitable acts.
God bless you Elvis!

As Elvis said, just because someone hasn't responded yet to this post doesn't mean anything. There is a pejorative tone in your post as well. I am sorry that TV evangelists have given you a bad taste for 'Christianity'.
Not everyone has the availability or money just to take off on an overseas trip. Many serve in their own church communities here at home.
I had the opportunity last Summer to go to China on a mission trip.
