Apparently it has to do with the immense fear that the oil producing contries would have at the prospect of her, once elected, introducing her energy saving measures, and how much consumption that would remove from the world market. They would instantly lower oil prices to keep us consuming. ridiculous.

Is her 'plan' along the same lines of John Kerry's? The mystery kept him from getting elected.

Spill it bitch! If it is that good, tell everyone now.

Something about her I don't like...she seems like an arrogant, pompous ass bitch...like her husbands last name is not good enough she has to keep her maiden name in there. Should her name not be hyphenated anyway, i.e. Hillary Rodham-Clinton??

But you notice now, she's just known as "Clinton". That hyphenated shit won't work on the ballot...name recognition and all.

I think she could have done a little better than the frog analogy.

Pretty bold campaign promise. Good luck with that.

Did anyone see the story were Hillary's brother owed over 75k in back child support and spouse support. I thought Hillary was all for children, and to think her own blood is suffering. The Clinton's are rich, she should just write the check to help her neices and nephews out. Oh but wouldn't it be better if we used tax payer's money to support the bastard children.

If you guys pic a candidate over the price of gas you stupid, whats the most it will change uh.........maybe 50c, maybe. Come the fuck on use your brains people isn't there more important issues to deal with. One being why the fuck were in Iraq, heres a duh, moment that some of you prolly havent ever even thought about. George Bush senior didn't finish the job so his son feels obligated to avenge his faters fuck up, thats why were there, plain and simple. Oil prices my ass, oil prices are controlled by the oil companies, George W. Bush and the rest of the bush family are oil tycoons, he owns oil rigs in the Gulf and he doesnt fix them because it drives up the cost of oil, wich in turn keeps it at a higher permium when he decides to fix or when he did fix the rigs. Don't be niever people. This country is just as corrupt as Russia and Jamaica we just do it more secretively.

You missed the point. Hillary is claiming to be so all powerful that she can control oil prices (which is BS unless she pushes thru some legislation allowing more domestic drilling, and legislation that encourages refinery expansion) because the world oil producers will cower before her. And the fact that she is claiming such utter BS to attract simple minded voters is even more BS.

Oil is sold as a commodity on the world commodity market and as such it's price is subject to many factors, such as geopolitical events and weather events, raw speculation from large investment funds, and oil production status. Certainly, companies can attempt to manipulate the market by creating an artificial shortage; this is why we need alternative sources of energy (open those domestic oil wells in alaska) and alternative fuels; to dampen the effects of oil production shortages, whatever they may come from.

Hey if we were communists we could get gas for $1.50 a gallon again, too bad you wouldn't have a car to drive or a job you felt like going to.

Mike's right - all that happened in the USSR was that there wasn't anything to buy, the black market controlled everything. They'd find out when something was going to come in and buy it all up.
