Ok, so i'm a little slow, but just heard there is a trade rumor going around that they may give up Choko for some more offense. On hfboards they were saying St. Louis in a possible straight up trade. Anyone else heard anything?

Ive read all sorts of rumors.
That being said, the Stars have already announced that Turco will not be traded. He's a face of the team etc etc.

He's the face who grabs his throat and chokes in the playoffs.

he's far too overpaid to get traded. noone is going to be willing to accept the financial burden he carries, especially with the salary cap these days, when his output as of late has been, well, horrendous.

Hicks seems to buy high and sell low frequently. Great idea!

Well, a straight up trade for St Louis would be ok then, because they both carry a high salary.

LA would be willing to take him and have been mentioned in that trade rumor. Their goalie situation is well, pathetic and the reason they are at the bottom of the league. they have lots of young talent, some of which they could spare.

I believe based on incentives met last season Turco has a no trade clause for this season, so it would have to be to a team he approves of. That being said I don't see them trading him. As much as people want to point blame at Turco he is not the reason for not meeting expectations set for the team and I don't think Smith would be able to handle the starting job day in and day out.

If the stars would learn how to play a little defense lots of people would be singing Turco's praises..... Don't get me wrong I think the guy has let one to many " Soft" ones get by...
They need to bring back Eddie...lol

Please tell me how Turco choked last year?

I was wondering the same fucking thing. It would be more appropriate to say that the offense choked.

When you play "defense" in today's NHL you get called for a penalty.

No. When you clutch and grab you get called. Case in point Hatcher's style of D.
