View Full Version : 11 Cowboys make the pro bowl this year!!

here they are:
Jason Whitten TE
Leonard Davis Offensive Line
Demarcus Ware Defensive End
Flozell Adams Offenisve Line
T.O Receiver
Nick Folk Kicker
Andre Gurode Center
Reserves
Marion Barber Running back
Ken Hamlin defensive back
Terrence Newman defensive back
And of Course Tony Romo
This actually ties our record of 11 set back in 93-94. What I think is really great is after all of these past seasons with a less than perfect Offensive line, we have picked it up and now 3 of our guys have got nominated to the pro bowl!!

Some of them maybe but who is on the Ken Hamlin, Leonard Davis, Andre Gurode, Nick Folk, Flozell Adams band wagon. I can't think of any.
Those are just damn good players!

No Roy Williams...guess everyone is turning on him...not that he diserves it, but he has made it on reputation alone on the past, looks like his reputation is changing.

I was joking about Romo is God. I think he is overrated. He should not even be in the pro bowl with sunday game and a 5 interception game.

I am very GLAD Hamlin made it and Newman . They both deserve it. Henry would have if he wouldn't have injured his ankle.

Keith Davis should have made it for special teams IMO.

Ken Hamlin was one of the better choices IMO. He is a great defensive back but not well known either. This just goes to show that the pro bowl is not all a band wagon.
And I still can't believe Seattle did not resign him to a big contract in the off season, but I am glad they didn't!

Question...how do you know those guys made it when they haven't announced it yet?
The teams will be announced at 4 p.m. (ET) Tuesday, December 18 on a special NFL Total Access 2008 NFL Pro Bowl Selection Show on NFL Network. The Pro Bowl will be played at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii on Sunday, February 10 and will be televised by FOX.

It's funny how all you can tout is that Favre has more yards. Seriously, that's your only argument to anything. Yeah, well, Favre has more yards. It's almost like you aren't intelligent enough to come up with anything else, so it's your default response.
Favre is only up by 37 yards. It's not like he is blowing him away, and they aren't even in the same league.
Yards ain't shit if you don't have the TD's to back it up. And Romo's got 9 over Favre. 37 yards can be made up in one game. Not to mention, over the next 2 weeks. I just don't see Favre making up that 9+ TDs before the end of the season. Do you? All this of course is just back up stats, if you so ignorantly ignore the fact of who is ranked where. ;)
Just for the record ----

Yeah, 37 more. In addition to that, Favre has 30 more pass attempts and Green Bay has 37 less rushing attempts than Dallas.
More passing plays=more passing yards (amazing)
So even though Favre has 30 more pass attempts, he only has 37 more yards. Not to mention Romo has 9 more TDs and dominated the only head to head matchup. But hey, the Pro Bowl is not about who deserves it, it's who the fans want to see.

Well if you guys want to look at it that way. Romo has thrown 37 less passes than Favre, but still has more interceptions than the ALL-TIME leader in interceptions. Ha! Yeah, someone just got owned by a stat. Har har har  Fuckboys.

When Romo gets 3 MVP's (third one shared with Barry Sanders) back-to-back-to-back, let me know.
You are comparing one quarterback in his prime and another in possibly his last season. Way to go.

No one's saying Favre sucks, but he's not the best QB in the NFC. I think even you know that. His 3 MVPs don't mean jack shit in regards to this year's Pro Bowl. But like I said, it's all about who the fans want to see. Shaq will probably get more votes than Dwight Howard for the All Star game too.

Considering this is Romo's second year starting, I'll be glad to.
I wasn't the one comparing. Thuston blurted something out that is the only thread he can cling to. I was just showing the holes in his claims. ;)
I'm not saying Favre isn't good either. Just saying there's a reason Romo is top three, and Favre is top 5. ;)

The only record that Favre will keep for all time, will be INT's. All else is due to longevity. Brady and maybe Manning, will blow past all the others fairly quickly, except both will have more Superbowl rings.

Now that Trent Dildo and Alex the Bust Smith are not at the helm, they have a shot at winning these last 2 games. I don't think that will happen, but there is hope as this Shaun Hill kid looks pretty damn good.

What sucks for the Niners is that they had the 1st pick at the wrong time. I almost feel for them because they pretty much had no choice but to pick Alex Smith. Almost.

Yep. At the time of the draft I was pissed. I mean, people would argue Braylon Edwards, but you can't justify him as the #1 pick overall. It was a shitty draft to have the #1 pick which is why despite their best efforts, they couldn't trade down. I'm over it though. I mean, they had no choice.
John York is still a douche bag owner, but at least he's realizing it and they are, despite the record, heading in the right direction. They hit pay dirt with Patrick Willis, Nate Clements has been great, Michael Lewis has returned to Pro-Bowl form and the pick they traded to New England to get their 1st rounder has actually been a good move. As Joe Staley, the guy they used that pick on, has been pretty much the best guy on the OL. They need a better OL, better Offensive Coordinater and a good QB and they will be able to take the division back from Seattle.

Sounds like what people accuse Cowboy fan's of re: living in the past . When was the last time Farve was a league mvp ? About the same time the cowboy's won a playoff game ? lol
