I have a ps3 in the bedroom hooked up to a 36" lcd tv & the xbox 360 in the living room w/61" samsung 1080p.

Here's the thing, I am wondering if there is a way I can hook up the wiring from the ps3 to where I can view it in either the bedroom or living, to be able to play games in either one & vise versa.

The both tv's have dish hooked up and they are maybe 15 feet @ most away from each other from the living room to bedroom.

There are like 3 different sources you can hook up to on each tv.

Is this possible? I know the remotes signal will reach in both rooms, like I mentioned, the tv's themselves are against the walls with not much in the way.

I would like to be able to do this so I won't have to move the ps3 to the living room just to watch a damn blue ray movie on the 61".

TIA.

I think they make a wireless transmitter for that, but I'm not sure how well it works.

im not sure how you have your ps3 hooked up to your lcd tv now but i'll guess its HDMI. (if its not, i would make it so).

run an hdmi cable through the wall, hook it up to the 61". get an hdmi splitter and hook up both displays.

it is as easy as it sounds.

hdmi splitter (non powered):

25' hdmi cable:

they have hdmi wall plates if you want a clean install.
if you need need more cable, they have 50' runs. keep in mind you may want to go with a powered hdmi splitter or an hdmi repeater

That makes sense, for the ps3 atleast. How would I go about doing on the 360? Since there is only 1 hdmi hookup on the tv I think...not sure. Is there a way to do the same with the component cables?

you want to hook the 360 up for both rooms too? is it hooked up with hdmi to the 61" now? i know the 61" will have a few hdmi ports, but i guess your lcd only has 1 hdmi?

i guess you can just use component video splitters but i dont like using cheap analog cables and splitting analog signals in general is bad.

Yeah the only game I really just play on the 360 is Gears of war online with my buddies.

other than that I'm going to be getting Halo 3 for my son & he probably would be the one playing most of the time.

I do however play the ps3 more & watch movies on it in the bedroom.
but like I mentioned Id like to be able to do either without having to move wires around etc.

This makes sense though, I just hope I can get everything to work. I have the whole idea in my head of how it would work, I just wasnt sure if you have like 15 ft of either the hdmi cable or the components it messes with the signal or something.

the hdmi should be good to 50'. sometimes more, sometimes less. you just have to try and find out.

you should go check to see if you have another hdmi port on your lcd tv. i dont like the idea of splitting analog signals and long runs of component cable personally but it will still work.
