I need help finding a good church, I live in Arlington, down the street from Fry's. I want one that has a good Preacher. I have always been a baptist, would like to stay in that type of church. Any help would be great.
thanks
I hope one of the Masons chimes in.

I just hope somebody responds, cause I really don't want to do the church search by going and sitting in on different ones to see which ones I like :(

I started out Baptist, but am non-denominational. My wife grew up as a missionary kid in Taiwan with parents who were Baptist missionaries there. She and I go to a church in Irving (a little bit of a drive for you, but not too bad...about 20-25 minutes, maybe).
Irving Bible Church is just south of 635 (but off the highway) across the freeway from Fry's (what a coincidence!).
Look up Irving Bible Church at www.irvingbible.org
It's a non-denominational Bible church and the pastor is a really good preacher. He's fairly well educated and funny. He teaches good, deep messages. They have really good music and the sanctuary is very comfortable and nice. It's got lighting that is actually dim, so you have a lower lit atmosphere that's very nice.
Check it out. You'll probably enjoy it. We spent nearly a year looking for churches till we found Irving Bible, so I hope this will save you some time. Since they're a Bible church, it just means they don't hold any doctrines that aren't blatantly taught in the Bible, which means they have VERY similar beliefs like the Baptists do. You should be comfortable and happy with the beliefs. Read their website and see what you think. Good luck.

Hi Cartman,
I recently became familiar with Crossroads Christian Church in Grand Prairie from hearing their pastor, Barry Cameron on 90.9.
I do not go to this church ( I live across town) but it appears to be a biblical church and I was impressed by their pastor's commitment to upholding the Bible. Although Baptist isn't in their name, it appears to be very similar in beliefs to your average Baptist Church.

(Thanks to the internet you can listen to sermons online to see what you think)
Best Wishes in your search, Philip
