Gateway was missing some drivers,i down loaded them off of Gateways Site,then for it to take affect you have to restart the PC,but when i restart the PC it wont reboot up,but i can reboot up in safe mode?? Anyone

Uninstall the drivers...

ok i did that,actually i did system restore and it works but the drivers arent there and i have stuff missing ,like VGA,multimedia controller,and a few others any help please..

Whats the model #.
Its best to open the case, and look at the devices and write hte model number off them down. like sound card, vga etc.

the problem is when you start it up it comes on fine but wont load the verizon software because of the monitor settings,and under display when you choose the 16 bit .24 bit there is no options except 16 bit so i cant load the verizon DSL software(its not my pc but my friends) anyway when i load the drivers on and it reboots it wont start up again,inless in safe mode..

Maybe it restarting but the monitor not working. could your screen refresh rate be off is it around 85 hertz

im reloading the pc now,it wouldnt even start up in safe mode,i have messed with pc,s alot and have never seen this,ill post some pics wheni get them here in a bit,
the pc wokrs fine until you load the drivers for the monitor,eithernet adapter etc..

As for the drivers, see if you get the model number off the video card and look it up that way. or look up the mobo software.
