Hard drive help...

I bought my brother a 80g SATA drive... and it wont recognize it on the mobo so I can't install the OS. I remember having to use a floppy along time ago to make it read it, but the hard drive didn't come with one. And I don't know where to get the software or whatever. Its a Seagate btw.

should have to use the floppy unless u are using a raid controller.
