Reformatting...

Is there anyway to completely wipe out the hard drive before I reformat? Or just load the Windows XP thing and delete the partions thing?

formatting IS wiping out the hard drive. You cannot format a hard drive running your OS from your OS. If you are talking a separate hard drive, you can format it in Windows.

hard drives arent even completely clean from the factory, you should know that. but that's the cleanest it will ever be. you could try some thermite, but if youre planning on reusing it, then that would be a bad idea :D

Use Hirens Disc and do a 35x format. Will take a day or two...
