Its one of those sprint mobil modems you plug in your computer, we have no internet provider where we live so I had to get this, only upside is I can plug it into my laptop and sit in the passenger seat on the internet going down the freeway, other then that it sucks, I would say just a tiny bit faster then dialup :rolleyes: yet way more expensive.

I'd guess a majority of those really fast connections are fiber optics or T1 lines.

We went from a T1 (1.5Meg) copper got a 100Meg fiber. We are a multimedia company, so it was waaaay overdue.
