Can anyone recommend someone to do some minor sheetrock/Texturing work at my new house? I won't be closing until around the first part of the year, but wanted to get something lined up so I can do the painting once it's mine. I'm gonna do the paint, but need someone who can patch some small damage and HOPEFULLY texture it to match the existing walls. They have a pretty heavy texture on them and I'm not convinced I can make it look like it was never damaged. In fact, the previous owner did a piss poor job at trying in the Master BR. Any recommendations?

I can come take a look, and show you how to do it if you'd prefer not to pay someone.
Carrie's brother does really good work I hear, if you don't want to jack with it yourself.

The way I would describe the texture is it looks like a heavy, somewhat lumpy texture may have been sprayed on it, then it was smoothed down with a trowel. IOW, all of the texture is flat with low spots behind it. Not sure if that makes ANY sense! lol...
edit: I just read online that it's called "knock-down".... ?

Not sure if I need to cut it out and replace it or just sand it down and redo it...

Sand it down a little, float it out a few times and then spray it using just a bit thicker mud as to what you'd usually spray with a small tip at a slightly high pressure.
The existing texture tells us these things.
1. The texture is a bit deep-thicker texture mud.
2. Texture is small-small texture tip.
3. Texture is small-use a higher pressure.
Hope this helps.
