i'd be better off with a fork and knife.
tell me what i'm doing wrong. or suggest that i do something else. please.

It must be one of those high calorie weight gainers, which require that much more powder to get the listed calories per serving. It may have sounded smart-assed, but Fred is exactly right, cut it with water if you don't want the extra milk calories, or use less powder for x amount of milk. For reference, my regular whey protein is 2 scoops in 10 ounces, that would be 25 ounces for your 5 scoops given they are the same size. Mix it how you like it, and just know that the calorie count is different than the "per serving" listing.

yeah, i figured that. mainly because every scoop, no matter what, you're never going to have a universal amount.
the other being that for the 1000 cal. per serving says to use skim milk. and i don't have any of that.
i'll just have to go with less powder more milk.

Or just split into 2 servings at 2 different times.
Man this sport can be so hard sometimes.

i use True Mass by BSN, and i split the servings and use it for my 2nd and 4th meals.
If you are trying to gain weight, then take the full servings and add more water.

that's what i originally planned on buying ( true-mass ) but they store i went to sold out, and muscle tech was cheaper anyway
You might want to try this Protein Gainer called ISOPURE. Its expensive. But there is no FAT in it & its pure Protein. Its only 2 scoops in water or milk. I use milk & it taste just like a choclate milk to me

That's not considered a weight gainer, as it is all protein. Weight gainers have a good amount of carbs to facilitate muscle growth.

Make sure you're nutrition is up to par, and add Glutamine post workout and before bed to help with the soreness. Part of it is lactric acid building up, as well as micro tears in the muscle fiber. The glutamine helps repair those tears faster, which means fater recovery and less soreness. Make sure you are getting plenty of sleep as well.

Granted, a prorein supplement is a necessary addition to any bulking program, it's just that some people prefer to get their carbs from oatmeal, yams, pasta, etc. Others want the convenience of a "weight gainer". I personally like to eat "real food", so I stick with the protein only powder, as I don't want the added sugar, I get enough of that elsewhere (too much actually lol).
Just like you and drag racing, it's taken me years of practice to get it right, and I've still got plenty of room for improvement.

thanks for telling me that now. :p
as of right now, i'm still working out through the soreness.
since i started this routine, i've also started with a multivitamin every day.
and also since the start, i've been eating a lot more. lots of carbs. lots of meat.

It's not a miracle supplement, you'll still get sore, just slightly less so. It also helps build lean mass, but it's a long-term thing, you aren't gonna notice anything different after taking it the first time.

hmm. i'll look into it.
is there any certain one that is better, or less/more potent?
and the first time thing, that's a given. in this sport, nothing is over-night.

Glutamine is simply one of the most abundant amino acids in the body. I haven't noticed any marked difference between the brands I've used. It's generally flavorless, and I mix it into my shakes, so it's not like one tastes better than another.

if not, would it be a bad idea to mix with my protein shake?

It's cheaper as a bulk powder, you don't have to digest all tyhat gelatin, and it mixes just fine. I'm currently using Dymatize powder in two shakes a day.

How many Protein shakes are you drinking every day & at what time?
Is there any specfic time to eat eggs or is through out the day ok? Also is eating 4 hard boiled eggs at one time a day bad?

I have two a day. One first thing in the morning made with skim milk and oatmeal, and the second just before bed made with water to keep the carbs down while I sleep. Any time’s fine for the eggs, though directly after working out would be best.

i'm now at the age (18) where my body is actualy starting to develop. and i don't want to develop fat. i want it to be muscle. i'm not saying i want to be a body builder, i just want to be cut.

Theres a big misconception in that protein is the only thing needed to build muscle mass. In actuality, you need carbohydrates to help facilitate the growth. Specifically, complex starches and sugars to stimulate insulin production. I typically take in 25-40 grams of protein within an hour of a workout, and 60-80 grams of complex carbohydrates (pastas, bananas, yogurt) with it to bump insulin production and get my muscles to rebuild.
Also, I take ON glutamine in pill form, 5000 mg a day.

i try to take in as many carbs as possible.
i'm not really all that good at it though.
