The Mormon Jesus "came as a being of light" or as the Bible says, "Satan comes as an angel of light." The Father came with Jesus, and yet the Bible explicity states that no one has ever seen the Father. He cannot be seen. Jesus said, "If you have seen me you have seen the Father." Moses didn't even see the Father on Mount Sinai when he saw God's back, because as we just saw, Jesus said no man's seen the Father. So Moses saw Jesus, but in full form, which included the Holy Spirit and the Father all in one: (mind, body and spirit - father, son and holy spirit).

I'm reading a book called The God Makers. Apparently their's a video as well. It is very interesting and shows how Mormonism is like Paganism and Hinduism, and has ties to Masonry and Satanism. Very twisted religion. Joseph Smith boasts himself over Jesus, and says he has the keys to heaven and hell and everyone goes through him instead of Jesus! What a wacko.

As for identifying the real Jesus, you just have to figure out what the actual eye witness accounts really say in the manuscripts that make-up the Bible. When you figure out who that Jesus is that is portrayed there, then you will figure out who has the real Jesus. So, get a good translation of the Bible and figure out who's telling the truth, because the Christian Bible is the only source that uses the actual manuscripts of the eye witness accounts to quote Jesus and follow His life. Everyone else has a borrowed or counterfit version of Jesus that NEVER lines up with the Biblical version of Jesus, which has the most credibility.

Also, the prophecies about Jesus from the Old Testament must be fulfilled by Jesus. Therefore, if the Jesus being preached fulfills them all, then that is likely the real Jesus. The Jesus of the New Testament fulfills all 100+ prophecies about His coming, and therefore, is the correct Jesus due to prophetic fulfillment. No other Jesus preached in another holy book is accurate to this or contradicts the New Testament Jesus in some form or fashion. The Mormons deny that Jesus is one part of a triune God. The Muslims deny that Jesus was the son of God. You'll always find false Jesuses preached, just like Jesus said Himself, "Many will come in my name," then warns not to be fooled by them. Oh, and the gnostic Jesus saves everyone from an evil God named Yahweh that's impersonating the one true God, Elohim, if I'm not mistaken. Very screwed up.
