New Leupold Mark 4 CQT

I just got the new Leupold CQT it is an awesome optic. Very clear and magnifies excellent. It also has an illuminated controlable reticle. The eye relief is good and you can use it on 1x magnification like an eotech.It also uses 1 AA battery which is good for 700 hours.I chose it over an ACOG because it is cheaper and has controllavle easy to use magnification. And also because its a Leupold Mark 4 which is always excellent quality stuff.

Have you mounted and fired any rounds with it yet? I keep looking for a good AR15 optic, but dont want to spend the $$$ for an ACOG.

They are 800.00 bucks for them plus if you want the extra battery pack option its about 50bucks. So you can get them for between 800-900 dollars depending on where and what you get.

Anything Leupold sells that has MK4 in it costs.But its crystal clear and can be used like an Eotech or a medium range scope I would say out to 600m.

Their mark4 stuff is TITS, but their Vari-X stuff is way overrated. For that money, you could be well into the good Carl Zeiss stuff, and for a little more, Kahles, who bought out and still uses Bosch & Lomb lenses. Kahles is super nice.

I got the CQT dialed in Sunday and was hitting old 3ft welding tanks at 400 yds with no problem.Im very happy with the scope.

Acog with red dot, or that new eotech with the bullet drop markers... that leupold is too big. way too big. for me of course. looks heavy too. too much to look through for as well. range, walking, or put away waiting on zombies... mine sits with the eotech on it. i put that red dot on my TA01NSN, still my main rifle has the eotech on it. I would switch to aimpoint, but i like my 1 MOA dot and ring on the eotech. one day i might get that tri power to check it out. i still do not think anything out there is as fast as the eotech.

anyways its too much optic for the gun. Thats like having a pair of binoculers to read a news paper.... over kill and pointless.
