I've searched for the thread I read a while back that had a list of places w/ good prices and/or helpful people to buy from, but I can't find it. If anyone can post up a link or wouldn't mind providing some places again, it would be much appreciated. I was thinking particularly about a place in Lewisville (?) that some of you have purchased from but can't remember the name or where it is....

BTW, I'm hoping to get a handgun, or $$$ towards one, for Christmas. I'm looking at a 9mm Glock or a Ruger (K)P95. I know people recommend going .40 cal, but I want affordable ammo for recreational shooting at a range or out on my father-in-law's land.

I bought both my P95 and my Glock at Sportsmans warehouse, but then they stopped selling firearms. However, I have seen in recent newspaper ads that they sell them so maybe they are starting to sell them again?? Might want to check them out. I found them to be the cheapest.

Chris: Sportsman's Warehouse or Sports Authority? Sportsman's Warehouse has a shit-ton of guns, gun supplies, reloading supplies, and a decent selection of ammo. I can't imagine them not having that big section.

Gunshow, Sat/Sun, Dallas Market Hall. Do they charge admission? How does it work if I find a gun I want to buy? Do I need cash or will they take a check or credit/debit card? Sorry for the noob questions, but thanks in advance for the help.

Yep, $7 to get in.(They can stamp your hand if you want to leave/come back)
Id bring cash, its cheaper. With credit cards the vendors charge an extra 3% of the purchase(the CC fees)

They usually have some pretty good deals out there, I havent been to the Ft Worth one, but from what I hear its better...
