Why do you want a Class 3 license?

Unless youre planning on selling/dealing in NFA items as a business. You dont need license for purchase and ownership.

Isnt it illegal to obtain one to expand ones own collection?

to collect you have to have them transfered, but if all you want to do is play and blow the money on a license then a class 3 is a perfectly good waaste of money and you can't keep the toys once the license expires. Like ole red says form a trust and collect away. :D

Yes, it's suppose to be used as a use to deal and sell firearms. Not make your collection bigger. However Im not saying that doesnt happen. You could also possibly be charged with Federal Tax evasion

You'll need at least $100k to pay for the gun.

If you have that kind of cash. All you have to do is pay for the item, have your proper ATF paperwork form 4s filled out, get a Chielf Law Enforcement Officer signature on the back of the Form 4s, 2 passport photos, 2 FBI fingerprint cards, pay a $200 Federal tax. Then wait 3-4 weeks.

Good luck!

I'm just going to form a trust and cut down on all the paper work.

I get signatures easily.

However me and my dad were considering desolving all of our stuff into a trust or incorporating his business just so we can each be listed as able to play with each others toys.

That is my main reasoning. I want to add my brother and my kids to the list of folks that can play with them. Also will make it easier to pass on via my will.

Full auto Glocks are a LITTLE BIT hard to come by. Especially since the only thing we can own are pre 86 NFA weapons or current weapons converted to full aoto with a pre 86 NFA compliant sear.

Machine pistols are novelties any way. I want something in a belt fed myself.

Ever priced one of the 3 transferrable Glock 18s in the registery? Last one that sold on the public market went for $95k+.

Glock 18s and full auto Glocks are non existant to the regular public. They came in to late before the 86 ban for enough to be put on the registry and for R&D to happen for people to make converision kits.

Unless you have a dealer license with a LEO demo letter, you're not legally getting an Automatic Glock pistol.

A trust isnt defined as an single entity under federal law. So if one creates a trust, they can buy NFA items through the trust name without the hass;e of CLEO, fingerprints and phot ID. You can create oe using Quicken Willmaker.

LOL! I would say so.
