Maybe Washington should try to put up a little offense and/or defense. :D

It's not about Washington. They are better than everyone else by a long shot! they dont need to rub it in like they have done the last three weeks by keeping the starters in when the game is clearly out of hand!

its a mental thing especially for gearing up for Indy.
They want everyone to know that they are going to crush anyone who they play after coming up short last year.
They are truely an awesome team to watch. I'm thinking possibly top 15 or maybe top 10 team of all time the way they are playing right now.

i never understood that way of thinking, you go out to score every time you have the ball, why should the score make them do something else? they still need to eat up the clock and their offense is based on quick passes so they throw. I don't see a problem with it I say if you can put the points by all means do so
Whoops, Defensive end didn't here the whistle ...run right over Brady sans the cleat marks on his pretty face! :D ...oops

so they can cover the over for the bookies :D. It was 49 today and since Skins wasn't putting up any score Pats had to do it.

Why is it out of hand? Anything can happen. I say at least 40 before you pull the starters.

I agree...and I'm not hating. There is this little thing called karma, and it will bite them in their ass. When you are up 52 points, much less 52-0 in the 4th quarter, not ONE starter should be in on off/def unless they have not had much game time.

You would hate me as a coach then. I'd be instructing my team to play for 60 minutes. Washington didn't stop playing. And when you half ass it on a field you get injured.
patriots are making a STATEMENT!!!!!!!!

Fuck the Patriots! They are clearly a better team than most teams in the NFL. I hate the gamesmanship though and hope that Indy kicks their ass all over the field. :D

You Cowboy fans are just pissed at the Patriots because no matter how good the Cowboys do this year it's all for not.

LOL, probably the best football team to ever step foot on grass. If they deliver on the Super Bowl, they could pretty easily make this claim. Dynasty? Check.
I think there is a good chance that 2007 will have both an undefeated team (Pats) and winless team (Dolphins) in the same season. Kind of funny considering what the "other" undefeated team was.

As long as the scoreboard is working during a 60 minute game. try to put points on it. The Pats play for 60 minutes.just cause there oppenent's dont theres nothing wrong with that. If you dont like the way they play football all you have to do is stop them from scoring all those points.

team of the decade.
there is always a dominant team every couple of years that seems to make news with its plays and stars, you had the steelers in the 70's, 49ers / redskins in 80's, and cowboys of early 90's.
now the pats reign supremacy in the football world. i'm a cowboys fan, but i'm not stupid... it'll show how good they really are once they (more than likely) beat the defending SB champs.

yeah no kidding I think a decent college team could beat Miami right now with the loss of R. Brown.
Tom Brady is lights out this year. Definately some records going to be set. Pats are on a mission.

When your up by 40 there is no reason to risk the starters getting hurt!!

Did you just start watching football this season? History shows a handful of teams who overcame 35 point deficits in the 2nd half.

I dont mind keeping the starters in but, just dont be still airing the ball out trying to pad the stats and run the damn score up on a team that you've clearly destoryed the whole game!!

Dec 1980
The Saints, winless at the time, jumped out to a 35-7 lead at Halftime over the 49ers. At the start of the fourth quarter, New Orleans still led by a score of 35-21; but, San Francisco tied the game by the end of regulation play. In overtime, Ray Wersching kicked a field goal to win the game for San Francisco.
Granted it's not a "35" point lead, but proves my point. Its happened on more than one occasion and it can happen again. I'd rather "run up" the score than be the goat that lost or nearly lost with a 30+ point lead.

Quit whining. The Patriots didn't WANT to stop scoring points, and Washington couldn't stop them. If you were in the position to rewrite nearly all NFL single-season offenseive records, wouldn't you do it?

It's not the Pats' fault that nobody can keep up. They came to play football. It's not like they're running trick plays just to score. If people can't stop them, they need to tuck their collective tails between their legs and go home.

Well, they kinda do. They've got that one play where they send Vrabel in. He has 10 career catches, for 10 career touchdowns.

And that other trick play they do to every team...
Where Brady gets the ball, then he throws it as far as he can, and Randy Moss catches it, no matter were it is, or how many defenders are around... That fucking bullshit play ;)

I've been thinking about this...If I were Belichick, I would keep a stuffed animal size version of the opposing teams mascot on my sideline. That way, when we went up by 50 and my starters were still in, I'd begin to simulate rape on the stuffed animal while smiling at the other team with the ol number 1 flying high.

It would have to be an NFL approved lifesized mascot with an NFL approved middle finger, though.
I just want Bill Belichick to dress up. Mike Nolan looks classy when he coaches, and his team is terrible. Belichick looks like a haggard, old, pickled drunk on the sidelines.

The Pats are a great team but come Sunday they will have a reality check when the Defending Super Bowl champs pound there asses into the ground so deep they may have a hard time recovering!Im a Cowboy fan and yes still bitter about our game with them but they better respect the Colts and not go in there thinking they are going to just make a statement.
