...I'm bringin these haymakers. :D

Anybody else excited about seeing him fight. I know back in the day when all he did was fight fat fucks in alleys everybody said he was nothing. He's actually been training and surrounding himself with the right kind of poeple. He might actually turn out to be a good fighter.

He gets no respect as all he did was fight back alley bums that he knew didnt have any skills and that he knew he could beat. He never sought out anybody that may have been even close to giving him a challenge.

Kimbo is a loser and cant wait until he gets his ass handed too him.

I agree. The Tank Abboot/Kimbo Slice fight has been cancelled by the way. Kimbo reminds me a lot of Brock Lesnar. Runs his mouth way too much. If you come into an organization and clean house, then run your mouth, but dont do it before your first fight.

I got a 30 day SIG bet against Kimbo, but we're going to make sure his opponent is a legitimate fighter. Not some no-name fighter they throw at Kimbo for his first fight making him look good.

As soon as they put him up against a decent fighter, I'll be sure to PM you, so if you want to, go ahead and delete your SIG now, cause I'll be writing it later.

Whats so tough about street fighting? If street fighting was that hard, it would be considered a well known martial art like BJJ.

Tank Abbott considers his fighting style as a "street fighter"

his record: 10-13

maybe i should have said streetfighting and winning. maybe you never been in a fight, street fighting has no rules, wouldnt u say that a little tought than a ref to make sure u dont get hit below the belt? also the conditions are a little different, fighting on the street as compared to fighting on a smooth surface ring. just my opinion.

It doesnt matter how HUGE they were, as in this case it was semi trained vs. untrained. There are alot of big guys that I can smoke in a brawl... but that doesnt mean shit.

And you are correct in saying street fighting aint easy....but neither is pimping :D

I just saw on Showtime that Kimbo is going to fight November 10 on EliteXC... they didn't say who his opponent is...

edit... old news... I should have looked a little farther down the sports central page :o

Kimbo will probably end up fighting some old fighter who retired a long time ago and has no business being back in the Octagon.

Its kinda funny that when kimbo chooses to fight MMA that he is spoon fed an aging boxer in Mercer whom kimbo then wants to wrassle with but not do some standup with Mercer.
Kimbos standup game is supposed to be "bad ass" and from his words "thats how a nigga eat" but he didnt want to show his "skillz" against Mercer???? Kinda lame if you ask me.

that's funny. If streetfighting has no rules, and Kimbo is supposed to be a bad ass streetfighter then why does his posse always enforce rules when he's fighting someone that has an advantage on him? If you don't know what I'm talking about then you haven't watched a lot of Kimbo fights.

Street fighting is no rules...that's what's tough about it. And Thta's also why it's not on TV...because fuckers can seriously hurt. And Careers would only last a few fights. You've obviously never been in a street fight.

There's no such thing as street fighting in UFC/MMA.

The supposed "street fight" with Kimbo and the big white cop was funny. Everytime the other guy started getting the best of him Kimbo's boyz had to step in between and say that wasn't allowed. Anything goes when he his kicking someone elses ass but tons of rules come into play when his opponent has a chance at winning.

Kimbo doesnt 'streetfight', its a standup fist fight and no punching while someones down and no choke holds and a few other small rules. He fought in the same rules and stipulations the other person agreed with so its not like it was his rules or no fight.

That entire situation was a joke on both sides. It wasn't much of anything, but if you ask me, Kimbo came out on top, Gannon was pretty beat to shit even if he was still standing versus a winded and heart attacked Kimbo Slice. You can train out of being winded, you cant train your face to not get fucked up. Both sides 'agreed' to rules, however both sides violated the rules. It was a cluster fuck of a non sanctioned fight, but hey that was the only way the fight would float anyway.

Why even bring up shit thats 4 years or longer ago anyway, alot has changed since then in Kimbo's neck of the woods. If MMA is to continue to survive it needs more fighters like Kimbo in my book ( of course with talent ;p ), sure ground game may look fancy and technical to some but its boring to most, people want to watch people get knocked the fuck out. Last UFC was a freaking snore fest with a bunch of hugging. I really hope dana white doesn't run this shit into the ground with his ego.

lol...I'm not a TUF noob.....I've been watching/involved in MMA long before the UFC flourished.

Kimbo is fighting someone that will stand in front of him and ultimately get KO'd. He's being given a can that looks tough, that's all. He is not the second coming, in fact any legit HW will dismantle him and hand him his ass. He will be exposed soon enough.

You thinking that Kimbo has a chance against a real HW is what's funny, shows your knowledge about MMA, or lack there of.

Why don't you STOP watching MMA for a bit and actually joined a GYM and trained a bit. You don't have to get competitive, just train and spar a bit. So you can get a better feel of the sport you enjoy watching, it'll change your whole outlook on the sport. I promise.

Though you strive at a good point, his street fights were not really street. Brawls with limited rules maybe, but not street fights.
His bob and weave are impressive and he has "some" striking skills, but his day is coming soon.
