I made a total of 10 nitrous passes on 2 ten lb bottles. 3 motor passes.

Best on Nitrous was a 6.48 @ 108mph....

Best on Motor was a 7.68 @ 94mph

Need to get a few more things and remove a few things to go faster!

on the to add list:

-New Converter
-Bottle heater
-Bottle Pressure Gauge
-Trans Brake

on the to remove lis:

-Passenger seat
-Rear Seats
-Weight and more weight

First time to take the car to the track in over a year... overall I am pleased with the results.

I had the progressive set from 55% to 100% and delays from 0 seconds to 4 seconds.... ran a 6.8, a few 6.6's (too many to count), a 6.5 and a 6.4.......

A week ago at 'Dale I ran a 7.89 on motor on one pass and 2 passes @ 7.9 seconds. I made a pretty good improvement to a 7.68 on the same drag radials. This converter just plain sucks without a brake and it is crap on motor! ....

yeah..... he said he wouldnt show... than showed... and I could only offer 200.00 on the race. Didnt come prepared to run him for the 500.00..... I then tried numerous times to line up with him to put em in his place with the progressive set on kill........ (which I was scurred to do the entire day).... and he had his boys from the shop move cars around at the box to keep it from happening.

That is about it.

Yep you should have.....You would have had to be the one driving though. BBC would have treeeeeeeeed you on the pro tree but you might have got him on the .4 pass

BTW....I went a full second faster then you with 2 more cubic inches and a a dry shot.....what is up with that....

It looked good though

The blue car is whitEGT on here, and Demon on the lsx boards. He busted fourteen3gt's ass not once, but twice. LOL Not bad for a cam, bolt ons, and a 100 shot against a forged heads, and cammed 408 with a plate on it. :D

He tree'd me..... I wasnt even trying to hit a light. I was just T&T'ng all day.... needed to get some seat time leaving straight. BTW, I dont think he is running close to 6.6's.... but he is knockin out the 6.9's an 7.dohs!

Congrats on your new times. I am sure they will get faster as you get the car dialed in. Its not gonna happen over night.

I started out running 7.70s last year on my old setup & got it down to solid 7.20 all day.

Im sure you will get the motor times down to some low 7 & some 6.10 on the jug. Good luck

Damn congrats, we'd be a VERY good run with you on motor... my best is a 7.8 @ 95 on street tires, and a 7.9 @ 97 on Nittos... ;) That was before the re-tune... ~ 20 rw less) dead stop or a roll we'd be within half a car I bet. too bad my car is here in storage. :(

They arent chambered mufflers...How can they be restrictive? The exhaust sprials through some metal deflectors and never chnage its path to bounce around. Theres a tube the runs straight through the muffler as well so the exhaust pulses cancel the sounds out.

Is this another one of those things you read and listened to on the net?

It's run numerous 7.0's and normally traps 100, so once I get the conveter fixed it'll get there. It's embarassing to me that it runs what it does now though :o

not bad at all...... I turned my car down that run, expected to kill ya after JP got us lining up...... but you tree'd the crap out of me... had to try to play ketchup with the progressive set too low. That is one of the reasons I want to flop to a 2 stage ;)

awesome??? fuck that.... I am changing the setup... It needs to run SixTeens to make me happy. i want to run a 5.99.... but will be happy with a 6.19!

It needs a few things to do that. Are you in the same ballpark?? I know that with the big shot under 65mph it goes sideways on the street.... I am ditching the progressive and going with a 2 stage with a WOT and the 2nd on the button.

nope... it normally does not. Turbo/Blower cars MPH much better. Nitrous cars typically 60ft better though. I am looking to do around 110mph in the 8th.... should out me close to 137 or so in the 1/4...... or a 9.7 ET in the 1/4..... I just need to get another converter and some odds and ends for the nitrous kit! :)

He has the wrong relocation brackets on it...It probably will blow the tires loose. His wolfe bar isnt on the car yet and he didnt have someone to set up his pinion angle that knows how to do it on these cars :)

Pinion angle is set a -2 degrees, waiting on getting ahold of your boy at the end of the week for the bar, and the relos are UMI's made for the 9 inch..... they where installed by your boy....... he does good work. On the footbrake at 3k they bind up......you can hear/feel it. ;)

-2 degrees by what method????

What bushings are in the control arms? Torque arm bushing? what was the corner weights of the car? -2 is not a magic number that will work for everyone...a pinion angle setting is an angle derived on a PER CAR BASIS...There you go with your internet taught lessons again...-2 -2 -2 Ra Ra Ra!

I suppose UMI is supposed to know what these cars want because they make the products and they sell? riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.

sphyrical (sp) ends........ no bushings. clankity clank clank style! The Tq arm is a BMR extreme with the included mount. Car has not been scaled. It barely pulls the front wheels though. Weight transfer felt pretty good with the Pro-kit.

Just have to play with it and see which way works best for each car/converter.

Thats probably right Josh, but there are so many ways people derive at -2 pinion angle and 99% of the ways Ive seen other people do it...aren't right.

For example:

John's wagon had -4 degrees at the pinion flange......Take the drive shaft angle into consideration and it was more on the -2 you seek with solid mounting points.

Just because you have -2 pinion angle at the flange doesn't mean you measured it correctly much less does it mean that the -2 measured at your pinion flange is correct!

Why would anyone measure just at the flange?
